Snake Plissken’s Lifeclock One: Escape from New York Inspired Smartwatch (EFNY)

Jumping into this at a very late stage. I managed to buy one of these today on an auction and looking forward to getting it next week. I have a couple of questions is anyone might know the answer.

1. I looked at the app for it on the Google Store and seems it only runs of older versions of Android OS. Anyone know if an update to the software was done to accommodate this?

2. And just curious to know how many of these actually got made in the end? I got the Snake Plisskin version (I actually want the more screen accurate one).

I see that Sideshow has a new license for Escape from New York and wondered if an updated version of the watch might be one of the items released.

1. iPhone is your best bet. Android is a nightmare to maintain and I couldn’t do it anymore. I’m sorry.

2. Made 1000. Sold 1000.

3. Won’t be making anymore. The studio license was egregious- I paid it when I launched because I really wanted to see this happen but I can’t do it again - I’d have to charge WAY more than $399. I copped a lot of **** on that price from people who have no idea what it takes to do this - turns out it was a bargain.

Well let me say that from everything I have seen of the Lifeclock so far it is simply a piece of art. I wanted to buy one when they were originally on sale at your website, however I literally timed it right at the end and very shortly after discovering it I saw they were no longer available. Since that time they have been a grail piece I have been hunting down. I paid significantly more than $399 for the watch, and rightfully so. I think that original price was a bargain and it's always been a regret I didn't buy one the moment I saw them. I thank you for your work and giving fans of Escape from New York an amazing replica of such an iconic item.

Thanks for the advice. I may well buy an old iPhone then just to synch the watch up with. Sure j can get one running an older iOS and get it operational.

Well I consider myself now one of the lucky 1000 that is a proud owner of this amazing watch. I am going to treasure it and treat it with the TLC it rightfully deserves.

I saw the promo that is on YouTube for it (with Johnathan making an appearance) and even that was really well done. The love behind this replica is very clear. Expect to have it arrive by next week and I cannot wait.
