Interesting thread, I loved the movie when it first came out, it's a little silly for me now, I guess I'm getting old.
I like the Pace CB someone found, I'll have to look for one to add to my vintage CB radio collection. If anyone's
interested you can see most of my CB collection on it's web page at:

A Smokey prop collector for sure needs a can of Coors, just so happens I have a can that I brought back from
Calif in the summer of 1976, it's still sealed and has always been in the fridge and for all 39 years. I got to thinking
that some party guest might decide to open it so I took a piece of tape and put it over the top and wrote "DO NOT OPEN"
on it. Maybe someday Coors will want to buy it or do a promo about it,,, Hi HI...

Awesome collection!!!

That's cool about the old can! In the movie however, its glass bottles. In the opening scene you can see the boxes labeled "24 bottles", as well as the scene from the Coors warehouse. There is even an added sound effect of glass shattering when Cletus gets thrown through the boxes ;)

Here's the shot from the opening scene:

I know that there are a lot of Smokey and the Bandit fans on here so I thought I would share.
A 1977 Bandit Trans Am owned by Reynolds is going to be auctioned off at the Spring Carlisle Auction, April 23-24.

Here is a link Bandit Auction

Reynolds has signed the car, a hat and a jacket. The winner will also get a copy of the title with Reynolds' name on it.
Oh how I wish I had a large chunk of disposable income.

Well, Like Adam C. back in 2011, I'm selling all of my stuff because life took over... So shameless plug, check ebay for smokey & the bandit prop

I'm sorry to hear that, man! It looks like you were really amassing quite a nice
Collection there, too. That's too bad. I know how it is sometimes though.
Good luck with the auction!

Even though I sold my collection I still had to purchase this when it popped up on ebay... Its an empty bottle of Trappey's Mexi-Pep hot sauce, the same that was on the table in the "choke and puke". I still collect hot sauce bottles and this combines both of my obsessions ;)

Anyone know the make and model of Reynolds' hat in the first movie?
