Michael Rosenbaum has indeed inked a deal to return as Lex Luthor one final time! He will appear in the two hour finale! WOO HOO!!

Did this just happen? Last news I saw, which was this week, said "NO WAY!"

I'm glad to hear that, maybe the writers will have a direction now, instead of filling time hoping he'd sign. Plus, do they have enough time for the Darksied storyline? It looked like they let that one fall away,m until I saw previews for next week.

Yes it was announced yesterday, a day after they reported he wasn't going to appear. It's all over the net now. It's all signed and done! :)

That's awesome news, but the way they seem to be writing it (at least as of last night) is pretty cheesy.

Lex and Lionel are both dead and have been for a quite some time.

Lionel came back by sneaking through from an alternate universe where he was much worse than in this universe.

Lex is back as 'Alexander'. Lex apparantly started a program to clone himself and Alexander is the only one that seems to have been successful - to a point. He's basically a derranged version of Lex it seems. And last night they seem to be giving him some super powers. Tess tried to inject him with cyanide and the needle bent as if you stuck it in clark.

I was watching Smallville last night and I said to my wife that I thought the current "LEX" storyline would be perfect to bring Rosenbaum back for the Finale.

How many more episodes are we going to get? Darksied, Lex, and Supergirl (one more time - mentioned on AOTS)

That's good news. I wonder if he caved to internet pressure or if it was negotiation tactics to earn a bigger paycheck. He's not winning fans either way. But I am glad he'll make it for the finale. Even if it's just a shot of Lex on the top floor of his building watching, while Clark does a fly by would be good enough for me.

The hubby and I are late to this party. We've been watching past seasons via Netflix and have started on the 5th season. Things are starting to get really interesting now and I'm looking forward to seeing how things play out.

I really like Michael Rosenbaum's portrayal of Lex. Even though I KNOW he's the bad guy and he's going to fall to the 'dark side', I still find myself hoping that he'll straighten up and fly right.

If you enjoy that side of Lex, you might want to check out the animated All-Star Superman (comes out Tuesday the 22nd). They actually explore the good that Lex could have done if he wasn't obsessed with Superman. He is Lex afterall and his argument against is pretty strong too.

I would rather they had Rosenbaum in the last episode as a suprise.
Just so we fans could whoop when we saw him.

With the advent of the internet, the notion of TV surprises has gone out the window. I just can't imagine them existing anymore.

I'll be STUNNED if there are no leaked pics of clark in the suit, if they indeed decide to put him in it. Someone will snap a pic and post it.

i am very excited to have Rosenbaum back on Smallville, i would love the last to scene to be Lex and Clark (in the suit) having a faceoff

I've got 12 episodes of Smallville for the final season sitting on my Tivo 3. Tell me is it worth the watch or should I delete the entire folder?

I kind of got bored with last season with the exception of the Junior Lifeguard Association episode. Too many DC Universe cameos without any long term storyline.

I'd say it's more or less the same as last year (which I thought was better than the previous years). So if you didn't like last season too much, no point sticking around unless you're just interested in the finale.

But it does seem like they're not holding back as this is the final season.
