Small Soldiers - A very cool find (pics)

I thought the Small Soldiers fans here might appreciate this. I stumbled across it at a Mustang repair shop only 30 minutes from where I live here in Oz. They bought it a few years ago at an auction in LA and have had it sitting in their shop ever since.

They didn't know a lot about it, but as far as I can tell it wasn't used in the movie per say but might have been used in the Small Soldiers Behind The Scenes Experience at Universal studios. Came with a COA from Barris Kustom Industries and with some movie signage and a 5 foot Chip Hazard standee. Also has the original Power Wheels Owner's Manual.

I spent a few hours cleaning it up (it was covered in dust) but it's in fantastic condition. The siren is cracked, the canopy is faded and ripped and the megaphone (usually fixed to the front) was badly cracked, but the Jeep itself is great. And the rockets weren't attached either but have them all as well which is cool. I have no idea if it runs or not, and haven't tested the lights or sirens, but not so important as its only intended but be part of a static display.

The Propstore have a very nice one too, but I got this one for a fraction of the price and zero shipping :D

Cool. Bizarrely I think I was looking at the original auction webpage for this just yesterday! According to that page, these were produced for cinema displays.

That's cool!

Thanks mate. It's also massive !!!

I think you might be right about the Cinema Display. It had one piece of signage (not in the pics) that referred to the Experience but the guys I bought it from wasn't sure.

I'm thrilled either way, as I'm unlikely to ever find one of these over here again. :)

All I need now is all of the Commando Elite . . . will take some time, but I'm working on it :D

Haha, that's awesome! Where do you plan on displaying that giant beast? :lol

Standee is really cool too.

Thanks mate. I've no idea how I'll display something this big (it's almost 1.5 meters long), but the first thing I plan to do is fix or replace the damaged parts. I've already tracked down the identical Radio Shack Power horn to replace the busted one. And I'm going to make a new canopy for the back. Also need to get the spot lights working too. Ultimately, I'd like to display it with Commando Elite climbing all over it . . . That will be the biggest challenge :)
