Skyrim: Jagged Crown Complete

After starting the project just under two years ago, moving twice and getting a new job, I finally found the time to finish the Jagged Crown.

I started off with a low poly model from the game which I imported into Pepakura, unwrapped, printed out and assembled.

Then came a slush cast of Smoothcast 320 and I started to sand and shape the exterior. The horns required a lot of apoxie sculpt and spot putty. Midway through the horns, I began to also sculpt the metal section. I spent some time looking at Volpin's Skyrim helmets to see how he got the wonderful texture. I ended up using the top of a pen to get all the divots.

Next came the bone.
I actually had a list in my sketchbook of the steps. It involved my fingers, several sculpting tools, pencil lead, and orange skin. Overall, I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Unfortunately, that's where my WIP photos end. I got too excited and into the build to stop and take photos till I was done. But, after getting everything sculpted and sanded, it was all primed with Rustoleum Satin Heirloom White. The metal then received a coating of Rustoleum Hammered Silver. The bone was finished with several washes of acrylic paint in Sienna and brown. And the metal was aged with a mixture of black and brown, which I allowed to dry then wiped off.
And to top it all of, I decided to line the interior with fake fur adheared with Barge glue.

(Here's a pic of a dog in the helmet to make up for the lack of WIP pics)

That is truly amazing. Do you still have the sketchbook you mentioned? You should toss up some scans that pertain to the build.
