Hi. Been here a while lurking. Finally worked up the courage to post. Thanks for all the inspiration and tips! Here goes. My skyrim cosplay. Thanks to Zombiegrimm over at the 405th for the pep-files!

This thing started it all. Had been playing the game and wanted to something "real" from it. After this was done, I kinda thought, why not make a whole costume... Well, took a bit longer than the dagger.
Right scale is always hard. Third go was almost the charm, still a bit tight, but it works.

A bit rough, but that's how I work. Too much detailing or fine-touching from the start and I get bored. Anyways, Bondo on the helmet and something more smooth and organic looking on the horns (sorry, can't remember what).

A little bit smoother

I am a scrap builder. I often use cardboard from old boxes. Here I built this chest piece in layers with wood glue and cardboard.

This is the closest I have come to sewing. juuup...

Grey and shades of both darker and lighter grey. You know, trying to create the feeling of depth.

Weatering of my cloth(?)

Oooh. Right.. this one... This is just an accessory, but the most fun thing to build. Glued a cardboard rectangled shaped box together. Put light brown fabric plus that little button. It is functional too. Aaaand a piece of me died when I weathered it. hehe.

Another accessory, the map of skyrim...

Yet another accessory, a potion. Real glass actually, which is kinda cool.

First real test fitting. By now, I should say, I have documented this even more, but saving you guys/girls some of it, so you don't get too bored.

Bought fake leather (some crafting website) and fake sheep wool blanket (ikea). Plus these already neat ornaments. Velcro sticking out in the middle, gonna be covered by a buckle.

Almost sculpting with cardboard and woodglue. It looks rubbish now, but with the right acrylic colors, it looks alright.

Before weathering the belt.

Lots of these metal holes for the chestpiece

Before and After coloring.

Armguards. Cardboard, ikea wool, and leather straps made of fake leather

Glue gun, fake leather and you guessed it, ikea wool. Old shoes underneath for comfort and easy to build.
Okay... The thread-creator says I've got too many pics now. So creating this thread and starting a post with the rest underneath.
