Hey all
First of all, I would like to appologise for not being very active this year, but without going into too much detail, I have had alot of issues to deal with in real life this year.

I have still been busy with the hobby, but havent been very social with it, been trying a few new things out though, which I do have a few pics of and WILL be sharing with you all at some point, but dont really have much time for sitting at a computer for hours on end lol.

Here is the first thing I plan on sharing, it's going to be an open mouth version of Grizzly.
Here's a sneak peak as I only have a few minutes spare at the moment, but thought, If I start a thread, that will give me the motivation to update it whenever I get the time, as this is not a project that I am just starting, I started this a month or so ago, so I have plenty of pics to update it with already.
Anyways, here's the first pic

Cheers guys, no Spats, this wont be a mask, it's going to be another resin head, and there wont be any point taking a plaster mould after I take the silicone mould, as a latex version wouldn't fit you anyways unless you are about 13" tall lol.
This isgoing to be my first model kit, I have never tried sculpting on a small scale yet, but wanted to give it a go.
Ihave sculpted this using kleanklay, but I would never use it again for this scale as it is far too soft and when it came to the moulding part, I had an absolute nightmare with it.
Anyways, here's a few more pics for now of the head taking shape, these ones should give you an idea on the scale

Thats pretty much all the pics of the face I have, unfortunetely, I didn't take any pics of the moulding process as it was my first time moulding something this small and delicate, so didn't want to **** it up, plus my hands get filthy dirty when I'm moulding, so dont want to be picking my phone or camera up lol.

So, whith face moulded and cast, it was time to move on to the next stage.
The body.
It looks a bit "John Travolta" to begin with lol.......but I was just getting rough ideas lol, I had no concept to go by, other than what was going through my head at the time, I basicaly winged the whole thing.
Here's afew more pics.

That's coming along really nicely, if you haven't moulded the body yet and still using klean Klay, when I use it for anything small I pop it in the chest freezer for a few minutes, the outside goes hard enough to make it easier to handle for a while, just a thought, don't know if it'll help.

Cheers Troggs
That would have been excelent advise about the freezer, as the clay is defiinitly better to work with when it is cold, but I didn't have much room in my freezer and I think the missus would have a fit if she went to the freezer and saw my clay in there lol.
I was having to give the clay a coat of acrylic spray every now and again to stiffen it up, it worked, but the downside is, you loose out on alot of detail, I would have much prefered to stiffen up the clay without loosing any detail.
I will def keep an eye out for a small chest freezer going cheep though, for my workshop, so yes........it helped, not on this occation lol......but for future projects, so cheers again man.

I have indeed moulded the torso, and also the legs.
Here's the rest of the progress pics including right up to where I am now.
Cheers

I'm starting to work on the base and his trophy, hopefully have a few more pics after this weekend.

Great work, love this type of Predator style. Will you be casting these for sale?

Your 1:1s are sadly out of my reach so one of these would be right up my street.

Cheers Bryan and lone hunter
I do plan on offering a limited run of these kits, providing the moulds come out ok.
This is the first time I've tried making anything on this scale, and I have been trying to mould each peice in a way so that there will be no visable seams, it's been quite a challenge and some moulds worked really well, whereas some, I have had difficulty removing the peice from the mould, so I dont know how long those moulds will last.
I may need to remake a couple of the moulds, but luckily, they areonly minor peices of the kit.

Anyway, I've been working a little on the final few peices, including the base, here are afew pics of what I have so far.
Dont know when I will get a chance to work on this next, i'm pretty busy this week, but hopefully i'll get a chance towards the weekend.
