Did you put metal inside the Sculpey Clay before you baked it? It has a habit of being unstable without metal inside it, or did you double bake it? Double baking it would have made it more stable as well.
 
I put wooden dowels in the middle while the clay was still wet. Then I wrapped it in tin foil so it would slide off. Then I baked it. Slid right on and no problems whatsoever

Okay, but are the wooden dowels still inside? My main concern would be that it is just the sculpey clay with nothing inside it.
 
Thats awesome!!! I'm making a He-Man costume and also have a flex design suit they are awesome!!! Good work on this well impressed :)
