simulating fabric at 1/24

so I'm working on a model, and I was wondering
to simulate fabric at 1/24 scale what do you guys recommend?

so I guess I'll just use cloth then....

You can simulate fabric by using... ONE - PLY toilet paper. I kid you not. Just get yourself that janitorial stuff they use in schools and the military. Take you some Elmer's white glue, thin down with water, dip that institutional TP in it and then form it into the garments/shapes you want. When dry it holds shape, is tough, takes paint and looks just like scale fabric. It's an old trick.

Government TP... not just for butt-wiping anymore...

For larger weave fabrics I use cheap papertowls with the same white glue trick. It's good for doing tents, duffle bags, blankets, etc.

Check out disposable table cloths available at party supply stores. They are a vinyl/paper mix that works great for simulating scale cloth.

I've also seen people use sand paper for the carpeting in 1/24 (ish) scale autos... painted to the correct carpet color it actually lookes pretty decent ;)
