silicone davros mask

Hey all my first real post here. the name is Ian (piehead) im a moderator over at the fx lab and its great to finlay get registered over here. the wok you lot do is a real credit to you all. i do make up fx , animatronics and that sort of thing,weve kinda got a rep for doing silicone masks and prosthetics and custom dental prosthesis. i work with my fx partner Darren and run a small fx shop called 2baldies fx. in shipley (i'm from leeds in the uk though) last year we were comissioned to knock up a silicone davros mask for a who fan. based on Neill Gortons redesign but with a bit of our flavour thrown in for good measure. this is what we came up with...

hope you like it . unfortunatly we cant offer copies of this it was a one off for the guy that comissioned it but hope you all approve. it is for a fan film and came out pretty well. there is some of our videos on youtube too. teeth, the making of this mask, lifecasting and make ups. just type hushmapuppy into youubes search. thats Daz's username by the way.

Love it, much less of a caricature than the (admittedly fine) mask in the New Series. Kinda has a look of craning curiosity that may or may not be really malign.

thanks very much its realy apreciated. just noticed some of the pics arnt showing. i'll post more of the sculpt and other pics tommorrow evening. we were realy pleased. its sculpted in chavant la beu touche, moulded in fibreglass then injected with platsil gel 10 deadened to about 100% . also we reinforced the mouth area and topof the head with powernet to prevent tearing and sagging. we made the davros hand too. just a slipover latex glove. we found some graffiti markers called "on the run" pens that were in silver and gave a nice metalic look to the latex that etched itself in and didnt crack . i'll get some pics of the glove up too.
