The piston greeblies aren't on Han's blaster either. But a lot of people like the piston look on Han's blaster anyway to keep it a more marked difference. I don't think Luke's blaster has any greeblies whatsoever (so no motor coil greeblies), but I could be wrong.

Looking forward to getting wax all over my garage!
Yeah, it looks like we're going to have enough interest to get me started casting sooner than later. I have an engine that needs to get put in a car and then I'll get started casting the scopes. Don't worry...I want that engine in as soon as possible.
I'll probably be doing it slow for the first couple of weeks because the girls are getting ready to head to Japan for the summer. The good news is that in June they'll be in Japan for the month, so that gives me all the free time I want to get these things done.

As ichnob, said, neither version had the pistons but people have been putting them on both to make them look less boring.
The main difference is the scope bracket, the radiuses on Hand blaster are larger
I'm pretty sure both versions had the motor coil plate and both started with the distributor retainers but the back one fell off Luke's blaster leaving a glue spot

The scopes are cast brass with Machined brass parts and the bolts are steel. You can't anodize either of those metals.
The original scopes were painted semi-gloss black and I have an optional painted service that replicates it pretty good.
Or you can paint it your self.
The way this has been going I am sure that I will give ThinkJedi the go ahead to start accepting payments for the raw cast parts on Monday.
I will continue to add people to the group but will not start my payment phase until I have 30 in the group.

It you're going to do the Solo MGC version, are you going to change the spacer to a brass tube & thin disk AND change the Thoren's disk on top of the scope bracket to a thicker version with no embossed hole, as we see from the pictures mortifactor posted from Japan? It'd make the kit more accurate.
