Sideshow Darth Vader 1:1 Bust

Geez, He Looks SO DAMN HAPPY!
Oh Well, I wish I could Have one even with the Smirk.

well I guess the smiling expression is very important. At least it is for me. Man it´s for the revealing scene and was Anakins biggest heroic deed from my point of view

and Lo! a no-eye-browed bald stalker appears!

It's a step up from the Illusive. I quite like the effort from the glimpses at some of the detail.

Yes I agree. But lets see it in person.
Does anyone know who has sculpted this head?

Bingo, leave that one for the collectors that are not into the level of accuracy most here desire. I am sure they will not have a problem selling it to that market either.

You would think that as a License Holder, they could get access to the items and make an ACCURATE piece for a change. You would think...

Why change the habit of a lifetime ?
Like Vader71 says they'll have no problem selling a nice pretty collectable and really that's what matters when all is said and done from a business perspective.

This is an interesting move for sideshow since blurs the lines between what SSC and e-fx are doing, since there have been rumours for some time that the latter was looking into Vader - unsurprising since he';s the most "collectible" of characters.

Clearly this is a bust and cant be worn but IMO stuff like this the licensed companies do is good for the hobby in general andf I have no doubt that it will be significantly better than the licensed vaders we've seen before - even though i'm sure it wont be as accurate as the best fan-made stuff.

However for a lot of collectors it will be seen as a dream come true. If SSC ties its release in with the new TV show I'm sure it will sell like hot cakes

Cheers

Jez

Its a good sculpt but with that angle it doesn't really look to much like Sebastion Shaw or whatever hes called.

wow - it appears they did put they're own interior in the face mask (not ROTS), and the head comes out... hmmm...

official price: $1250 = :thumbsdown
