I have to admit, with the inexpensive cost of LED displays, the availability of programs like Flash, and the miniaturization of technology (i.e. eBook Readers), I'm surprised no one has tried to be a real, working PADD (or, at least one with an animated display). With Adobe AIR, a Netbook, a touchscreen, and a little electronics knowledge, you could actually build a working, real PADD... with Okuda-display and all!

Imagine sitting down at Starbucks and pulling out your own little PADD to surf the web, read an eBook, or design your next prop project!

I've seen a TOS Tricorder with a working screen, recordable mini-DV drive and a mini-cam. Easy fit these days for a TOS Tric.

Here is my latest addition (finished it up yesterday). Its the Scalosian weapon from the TOS episode "Wind of an Eye"

not as impressive as most collections but I do have a lovely Stapleton endgame tric, and a collection of waiting to be built tric kits that are mocking me right now, if MR ever gets in gear I'll have a mark x but here's a shot of the endgame.

Got a Stapleton kit for the borg neurotransceiver, sorry no pics of that yet.
Also have a stainless steel mark x body that my brother welded up for me, not sure if that will ever get built though.

NEVER get tired of looking at trek props!

Most pleasing thing to me is seeing people with examples of my work in their collections. I do all of stapleton's tric graphics and his recent Nemesis Phaser online instructions. Glad to see they're popular!

Very popular, his tric's are the best around, and your graphics are incredible!

This is a screen-used panel from "Enterprise." It's part of the flight deck and has a label on the back that reads "Captains Yacht Corridor."

In my opinion when your in costume there is only one Star Trek prop. These are far from perfect, but when me and my buddies are going to a con in costume they're just fine.
