I put this together as a Christmas present to my brother-in-law and thought you all would like to see.

The idol was vacume metalized. The Reich Eagle on the lid was craved in using my new Cravewright machine (computer controlled 3-d router). I aged out the crate and photo shopped a shipping label.

label from Rene Beloq to the Hitler Museum but diverted to Reichsmarshal Goring. The label was created using Illustrator and Photoshop. The Goring address was hand written using a nib pen as ball point pens weren't invented yet.

Then we wrapped the box in brown paper and addressed it to H. Jones Jr. at Marshal College and aged out the packageing. The stamps and cancellation marks were found on-line and combined in photoshop. This was then boxed and shipped to my brother-in- law. He loved it and all the attention to detail with the labels and stamps etc..

It was a fun project.

My brother-in-law bought me a bottle of scotch for christmas:cry

Seriously - excellent work :thumbsup

Wow, that's awesome! :eek

You really went the extra mile on this project and it shows. The Cravewright machine sounds like a fun tool and seems to do a fantastic job, where did you get it?

Again, excellent work!!! :thumbsup

No kidding, that's awesome. How do I get on your Christmas list?

:)

All the little details really make it.

Absolutely beautiful. You really went the extra mile on this. It actually looks like it belongs in a museum. I really hope he appreciated the effort and time. Thanks for sharing!

Great work Don!

Beyond the all the work, it's also a really cool concept and really fun gift idea to boot.

It's no wonder he loved it!

Very clever! Love the execution.

I guess Belloq didn't really sell it in Marrakesh like Indy figured. ;)
