I just finished these up today.
I bought these "empty books" at the fabric store and REALLY needed to find something to do with them. So I went ahead and made some Steam-Punk styled "Emergency Vampire Defense Kits". My wife and I spent a ton of money and time sourcing out all the stuff to go in them and then I spent some time in the shop making the rest.
I particularly like the fact one of them is in "War & Peace", but a generic art book and "The Old man and The Sea" is a pretty good title too.
Each of the bigger kits has:
Three oak stakes (I made those)
Six silver (aluminum dummies I made) bullets
One mahogany crucifix (I made it)
One small hand mirror
One Holy Water bottle (I sandblasted the cross onto the surface of a vintage bottle)
One crystal glass drinking vessel
One mixing spoon
Two packets of Vampire Venom Remedy (actually "Emergen-C"... it fizzes and you can drink it). I made custom graphics for the packets.
One bottle of dried garlic chips (for a poultice to put on bites)
One bottle of Poppy seeds (legend has it that you spread these around and the vampire has no choice but to count them all)
One small wooden crucifix that is worn on the neck.
The smaller "economy" kit contains:
Two oak stakes
Five silver bullets
One mahogany crucifix
One small hand mirror
One Holy Water bottle
One mixing spoon
Two packets of Vampire Venom Remedy
One bottle of dried garlic chips
One bottle of Poppy seeds
I don't know if I'm going to actually make an instruction book or not. Most of this stuff is pretty self-explanatory.
