I am working on Destroyer/Reunion costume. It fell to the wayside but now that Rylo pointed me towards the perfect boots, I am in high gear again to get it done!

So show em if you got em!

OOOH! I'll have to get pics up!

Here's some boot shells for now...I have lots & Lots of shells! Destroyer and Love Gun below.

I knew you would turn up first!

Can't wait to see your pics. I have the shells and they have been sitting for years now. Time to do something with them.

Here's one of 4 or 5 different armors I've owned over the years.

Having studied & worn the original Destroyer armor years ago, this one is my favorite and what I feel is about as close as it gets to the 70's gear. It was pulled from the original bucks, after all.

Very cool, although I like the larger shoulder bells and since of my size I may have to shoot for Reunion tour gene anyway!:lol

Ya know, I didn't care for the Reunion armor, but if it's bigger shoulder pods ya want, I'd aim for the Psycho/Reunion armor like you mentioned.

Get up with Gilman over at Global FX. I think he made the reunion armor.

Dunno' for sure.

if I google enough out there, i may discover the answer to this question, but:

Did Gene come up with this suit design back then? He was in to comics and monsters, could draw...so, did he just doodle a suit idea?

I think a drag queen came up with the dragon heads. There was a woman who did the original costumes. She was selling copies of her sketches on ebay for a while.

Rylo, would know it all about the suit though.

I have found a few places for the armor now. there is a guy on Myspace that is recating a set as we speak. I don't want that set though. I want a set from whoever he got it from. I would like to have it made out of Kydex too if at all possible.

I have a couple of local seamstresses that seems to want to take on the job for the leather parts, so we'll see.

Not "from the originals" (obviously) but hey, the "R" in RPF stands for Replica! :)

Made them myself.

I need to tweak the dorsal scales, as they are too "big".

I plan on doing the armor this summer, maybe.

Very cool. Those are pretty f'n close for original sculpts.

So, in my search, I have now found two people that say they have the original molds...hmmmmmm.

Although I am guessing there were more than one set over the years, so I guess it could be true.

Love Kiss here!

Anybody seen the new Kiss costumes that just went up for sale online at various Halloween costume store sites?
They look pretty good but are probably like the starwars rubies substitutes where they arent as good in person.

Is there a definitive site for all makeup era costumes of all members who wore them?

Id like to see an Eric Carr costume made or a Vinnie Vincent.

It would be so awsome to see the various members makeup and costume
differences throughout each album change.

Is there someone here that could lead me in the right direction to getting
the boots of any of them made from the original molds?

Whoo Hoo I found a seamstress that works with leather and vinyl and got a great quoute.

Seems to be coming together quickly! yay

The original V-form pattern is on ebay. These came from Shaftons costume shop. They made the boots in 76.
