Sherlock (BBC) - Help identifying pill bottle needed

They look like gelatin capsules that are filled with beads of than some sorts rather than an actual tablet. Look at the third picture in the OP, you can see a bit of air in the front pill as the gelatin capsule isn't completely filled.

...it actually looks to me like a salt or pepper shaker from the cafeteria!

The kinda brass nature is actually just wear. I have worked with salt and pepper shakers in restaurants with the silver tops, and after being handled and opened so much, the silver tops brass a bit on the raised parts, as the one in the screenshots have. Which seems to suggest that they did just grab the salt shaker from the cafeteria and dumped some vitamins in it... but I can't find any salt shakers as close as medicine bottles. You may want to do a quick search of a restaurant supply store and see if you see something.

Either way, you can get the brass effect by rubbing off the aluminum to make it brass from wear!

I would say to try a bit smaller, like a 40ml. Look at this one, it looks right. Has the raised ridges and such on the lid too:

It is from some little perfume website here: Decorative and Perfume Bottles, Tiny Vials, Bottles with Cork Seals or Screw Lids, Wooden Scoops, Perfume, Jars and Misc Supplies for Aromatherapy, mixing potions, oils, storing incense and herbs - The Realm of White Magic Online Ordering - Australia I am sure Alibaba has it too, but in bulk.

That looks really good to me! The 40mL ones on Alibaba seem at bit tall to me,

That one is 8cm tall whilst the one you linked was only 7cm tall.

I basically just google image searched for '40 ml glass'. What I also found was that some people use different units to describe these. Some are listed in 'drams'. 40ml is around 10.8 drams. I didn't see anything in 10 or 11 dram size. You could try ounces as well! Play with the conversions and google it, see what you get.

That 40 mL vials are also between 1.125 and 1.5 inches in diameter...WAY too big.

...unless you want to fill them with suppositories. *cringe*

Look at them in relation to the slender female hand up above. They're small even in comparison to a smaller, female hand. The height of the vial only comes up just past the second knuckle on her index finger, and I doubt that length on her body is anywhere near 7-8cm. (roughly 3 inches)
