Severance

Also made the goat christmas card and envelope gladly written by Gemma:

(note: I used the design of the wall clock - in the 1st screenshot - to recreate the star on the card)

I made the card and envelope the same size as Petey's nice card and envelope, although the envelope have different flaps. The card is 180 x 253 mm opened (or 180 x 127 mm closed) and the envelope is 185 x 135mm closed.

I might try to recreate Gemma's handwriting (I don't know why they forced (?) her to write with her left hand as she is right handed):

Update
------------
Added 2 versions (blue and green ink) of Gemma's handwriting. Not perfect, as I had to guesstimate the non visible handwriting using the text narrated by Gemma (the text in parenthesis is narrated but not written on the card):
Dear Mr. Tisdale,
I cannot thank you enough for the thoughtful
Christmas gift you sent my husband and I this year.
We have never owned an electric grouter(.)
(And we look forward to) the many happy memories it will provide.
Nothing says Christmas like grouting.

I saw you posted your variant printed on the props forum, but not the design here, so I had to make my variant. As always, great job with the card (and again with the book cover).

Here's my variant of the Innie Resignation Request Form:
Image385.png Image388.png Innie Resignation Request Form Blue LTR.png Innie Resignation Request Form White LTR.png Innie Resignation Request Form Blue A4.png Innie Resignation Request Form White A4.png

Made as standard Letter (216 x 280 mm) and A4 (210 x 297 mm). I will do Dylan's handwriting too in the next days.

Update
-------------
Added a page without the background color (for those who have colored paper) but also did the form in A4 format (with and without background color).

Used my own screenshot with the painting hold by Dylan:

I removed Dylan's hands and top of the head, corrected the perspective and upscaled it with a slight enhancement in Topaz Photo AI. The painting printed on paper is cropped at the perimeter (it's not the whole image):

I used the full painting...

... to recreate the printed paper with the card colors inverted:

Download the hi-res files from here ==> The Grim Barbarity of Optics and Design.png and here ==> The Macrodata Refinement Calamity.png.

The dimensions are made to those approximated by Astyanax (I'm sure these are pretty close), more exactly the painting is 915 x 610 mm (or 24 x 36 inch), while the printed variant is 432 x 280 mm (or 11 x 17 inch).
Amazing work. Truly in awe!

I made my sister a performance report for her birthday card. It's 5 pages (... not really suitable for printing, I sent her a PDF).

The font is Forma DJR (you'll need adobe fonts), but here's the .ai file if anybody would like to expand/improve on it, or make their own Seth Milchick one.

Edit: typo fixed. x_x

Do you have a template that I could modify (change the name etc?)

Hi! It was attached to the original post, not sure how it got removed. Here you go... let me know if it works.
  • This is an adobe illustrator file
  • The font is Forma DJR (adobe fonts). If you don't have access to adobe fonts, you can use Figtree (free from google fonts). In a pinch, just Arial will also work and most people won't know the difference.

Updated post #90 with the Innie Resignation Request Form in A4 format too, but also did both formats without the background color.

Here's the form printed on a colored A4 paper:

Here are all my paper props made to this date:

Note that the Sarum Prayer card is not laminated, but I will reprint it and laminate it in the near future.

Reprinted and laminated the Sarum Prayer card:

The envelope of the Niece card was printed as is, but as you can see there's a huge difference between the printed (right side) and the full color paper cut with the envelope template made at a later date (left side).

And the road map of Kier:

The map was downscaled to 820 x 905 mm and printed on 9 sheets of A4 paper, then stitched together with double sided adhesive tape.

You know, as soon as I saw the waffle card, I said to myself that I have to do it in the near future. It doesn't look too hard to make, because the waffle is glued to the plate in 2 points (marked with the red arrows) and the rest are just some tabs interleaved with those half long cuts:

Ah, you make it look easy. I was thinking of making something along the lines of honeycomb paper (the sort that comes as packaging sometimes) but this makes much more sense.
