Senate Guard Plume- what have you guys used?

Hi guys, I recently 3D printed a senate guard helmet and was wondering what I should use for the plume material. I know the original was made of horse hair but I am wondering if anyone else has used any different materials.

When I helped a couple friends with theirs we used shop brooms cut into segments and inserted into the crest.

Ok. That was another option I am considering. It seems a lot cheaper than using horse hair and it will probably stand up better. Thanks.
