Hey All,

So I need some help. I've researched a little and got some information, but wanted to hit up the fine resource that is the RPF for more and perhaps better information.

I'm looking to cast a mold of an solid figure that's about 12-14" tall and make a replica mold, but at about 50% of it's size. I have some cool customization ideas, but I the casts to be scaled smaller.

Since I don't have access to digital scanning devices and computer driven laser cutters, is there a way to do this from a hobbist's resources and budget using traditional cast and molding techniques?

Thanks in advance, this really intrigues me and look forward to getting some insight!

If you haven't already come accross this site then your in for a real treat! www.ironcowprod.com These guys have been customising at the highest level for a decade and have some truly magnificant work! The link below is (hopefully) to a Batman Begins bruce wayne figure they made. The head is a cast of the larger scale NECA american psycho figure. They used Hydro-shrink to cast the new head. It looks a little "pitted" to me, but i've never used this myself.

If your interested in customs then take a while to look through their "plastic" section, some really beautiful work on show

Cheers
