Hey all some advice needed,

IÂ’m in possession of a Harry potter wand box obtained from a friend who worked at the Odeon on Leicester square (for the premiere they made the lobby in to Olivanders).

As IÂ’m in money trouble at the mo I was thinking of selling it, I was told it was used in the movie but have no way of proving it I have looked at the olivanders scene and there are some matching boxes in the background but IÂ’m not the kind of person to rip people off if it's not a screen used item.

Any advice appreciated

Dan

There were lots of them in that scene, so, Pics with a discription would be a good start. then the HP experts could possibly chime in to let you know what they think.

I'd say the same thing.. and even if it's not provable as screen-used, you still might get a good price for a decent replica..

I have read plenty of auctions that say "I was told this was used in the film, but have no way to prove or verify this." that include pictures and a detailed description of how they obtained the item, and it kind of becomes a take or leave it situation for the bidders.

There is also always the JY. :D

Noeland I usually jsut avoid those type of iffy auctions. I did once see a screen used item being sold as a replica though. I found that odd. I remembered the original seller, auction, and picture. Typically people embellish their claims and not the other way around though.
