SDCC pictures of hot girls thread

*blush* Yeah that was me in the Jonah Hex outfit, thank you for the kind words!
It didn't get much recognition, kind of like my first year where I spent most of the con dressed as Liz Sherman. But it was still an extremely fun costume, and I'm sure it'll be even more fun at Dragoncon.

Also, my little 2 cents to add to the booth babes thing... it was actually a little aggravating doing Slave Leia as a booth babe this year because 95% of the time I don't think the people taking my pictures genuinely believed I was a Star Wars fan, or nerd at all. And it got really disheartening, I kept hearing comments about how it was annoying that I was only there to get dressed up and get male attention, and that I probably had never seen a Star Wars movie in my life. (To clarify, I've seen ESB probably 500+ times.) One guy was totally astounded when I gave him a mini bust-up freebie and informed him all we had left were Zuckuss, to which he replied "you know who that is?!" And Victoria and I had an entire interview with ABC, and only *after* the interview did they realize we own our bikinis and were, in fact, fans. Since I pride myself on being a huge geek and a Star Wars fanatic, I was downright insulted.

I ended up skipping doing Slave Leia as much as I could because I just plain got tired of being judged as a "non-fan." Which was a little stupid--I'm dressed as a Star Wars character, I never thought I'd see the day where I'd be judged as a NON fan for doing that lol.

I am all for booth babes--but Gentle Giant did it right, and I think it'll be financialy smart for the other booths to follow suit. I flew 3,000 miles to go to this convention on my own dime. They supplied me with an exhibitor badge and threw some product my way and I was MORE than happy to work for them. Why pay a model to stand in a convention she doesn't want to be at, in a costume she doesn't want to wear, to promote a product she has no interest in, when you can just hire the attractive fangirl costumers who are going to show up to the convention anyways? Because let's face it, there really isn't a short supply of them, and they're gonna be going anyways. So I'd really like to see the hired models from LA who haven't cracked open a comic book in their life get replaced with the equally attractive nerd girls who would be there even if you didn't pay them.
You look terrificly superb with the wig:thumbsup, even better than your natural blonde hair and I'm a blonde nuts:love. There are really nerd girls? Must be a myth:lol...

just WOW..great Costume...I think slave leia is so over done by everyone. It's great seeing beautiful women in but there so many . I enjoy when people go out of their way to create other costumes.
I hadn't see Jonah Hex yet, i was thinking more POTC,...

Fully agreed! It was another win for Gentle Giant to have other SW characters there at the same time with the Leias. One guy called me over to stand with them for a picture. I managed to have our wrangler get a picture of it on my camera :)

I wish I had four hands.... so I can give those girls.... four thumbs down!!!

It's not morality; it's just plan rude and bad manners (not to mention completely contrary to the spirit of this thread). This numb-nuts posts some stupid comment like that when it is completely uncalled for and not true. Oh well, personally I think both are beautiful and I am glad she posted.

I say forget this lame brain and "ON WITH THE THREAD" :)

Sorry Feek- my post wasn't directed at you- it was directed at Paulfierce. Guess I should have quoted him.

He tends to get "offended" by women in little clothing.

Well, someone should let him know that his mom had no pants on when he entered this world.

That is a great quote. :thumbsup

I honestly do not see the reason for slamming these women for letting their Geek Flags fly. I would not get into costume, and I am an undercover ubernerd, but these women, hot or not, are out doing it. Gods bless 'em all!

I know I would not want to go to a sausage-fest convention. Don't know about your guys who slam these girls.
