ScreenUSed Auction is tomorrow, Saturday, March 9th

Maybe I'm missing how absentee bids work, but the absentee bid would have already been placed and bumped my bid up prior to the auction, as the $350 bid did.

Couldn't someone have bid since then?

Here is an example of what I said earlier happens all the time with online auctions. Nothing fishy when this sometimes happens.

Thought about grabbing the Chill Factor bomb, but got mixed up between the stunt one and the hero one, so my budget was all kinds of off.

Surprised the Doom chainsaw went for so much, but what really surprised me was someone won the auction on the Balls of Fury vest :lol

I forgot to mention.

Theronstang, it is possible that right before or during the auction, before your lot came up, someone put in their highest bid (absentee bid).

Also, other things could have happened, including a glitch. From what I see however, it doesn't appear to be anything planned against bidders.

Paid a little more than I wanted but I love the idea of a "vs" setup between Greek and Trojan helmets since it is unlikely that I will be able to put together a complete Myrmidon costume.

lol I ended up paying triple the high estimated value of the doom chainsaw, but when you want something in your collection and you don't know if it'll come back around, you got to pull the trigger if you can. The Myrmidon and that helmet will look awesome together, money well spent I say.

It's all possible, that's why await the results. I love Screenused and have bought from them before, and I think they are the best of the best. So I give them the benefit of the doubt and will simply wait. I was just voicing concern since I didn't see any internet bidders, it just automatically started at my maximum bid when I had the high bid of $400 when the auction started.

Oh! I missed that you snagged the DOOM Chainsaw! Congrats to you! That is such a cool piece!

Alright, spoke to Desi (wanted to wait until after the auction to not burden them further) and he explained what happened. I had the high bid at $400 with a max bid of $1200. Someone else then bid a maximum of $1200, which automatically jumped the bid up to the $1200 and they were contending each other, but I won because I had placed mine first. Makes sense, I just wanted to double check in case it was something with the system.

Glad you got it sorted out!

A couple of things went for lower than I was expecting, and I didn't bid as I thought they would go for more, so I didn't have any money put aside.

I did win the one thing I was going for though - the Jurassic Park Explorer panel piece. Went for more than I was hoping. Especially once you add on over $100 in fees.

Nice score man. I have always wanted one of those in my Doom collection. I'll get the next one that comes up!

I actually might not have won my helmet if not for the system working that way...

:D

As I said earlier. Though it's totally understandable not realizing as it happens so fast.

Congrats on the win!

I also had a right job getting onto the auction ,firewall off etc
Is there a final bids page i can check up on anywhere -link etc -as once again my computer now won`t even let me to link icollectors page even with firewall off etc.
cheers

Surpised that the Resident evil stuff went to cheap. I was shocked at the China Beach shirt going so high.

Congrats to those of you that won.

Anyone snag any of the Jurassic Park pieces? There were some Raptor hatchling eggs, T Rex tooth/claws and some Trike pieces. Low prices all things considered - the baby unused trike beak went for $200
