Hey, after seeing Andy Preston's fantastic JJ Concept ATAT materialise,
I went back to my early ideas to make my own version
I had been thinking about it over 4 years ago, you can see a sketch of it on the floor of my Joe Johnston Y-Wing WIP thread:
Link here
Based on Joe Johnston's sketch 0076:
I got back at it & rather than change my dimensions to what Andy envisioned, I pursued the train of thought I'd gone with in 2021:
using photoshop I altered the skew of the original sketch & went this direction
Again using my usual PVC 'Foamex' board to make the model, with a Tamiya Sherman M4A3 supplying the running gear
Using cast greeblies to fill in areas that are either service hatches that are missing or details tucked away in spaces
Painted in Archive-X ILM Stormy Sea
I made a wee 1/35 figure to stand at its controls, just sculpted on top of one of the Sherman soldiers
Just need to sculpt another one & paint/weather one of the tracks
Next one will be this tank:
Thanks for looking
John
