Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

I'm glad you gut the chance to eventually see it Vivek. It's definitely a well done and beautiful movie. In fact, I would choose Scott Pilgrim vs. The World over anything out right now. But then again, someone could say I'm being biased.

Scott Pilgrim was just an all around awesome movie. I can't say I ever read the comics, so take my words with a grain of salt I guess. But it is a really cool piece of cinema.

You should definitely check out the comics. After I watched the movie, it got me interested in the original source material. It's definitely quite a fun read. :)

I was BIG into the graphic novels, and though I did like a lot of the movie, it just didn't quite work for me.

Looking at that alternate ending, I almost prefer it... simply because I just didn't buy Scott liking Ramona. I mean why?!

In the comics she was cute, fun and likeable. Here she seems completely unlikeable. It doesn't help that their relationship was rushed (unlike in the comics).

And I love Michael Cera, but he's not Scott Pilgrim. I have no idea who is... but it wasn't Cera.

I'll have to check them out when I dwindle my reading list a bit more.

Colored editions have been released now, but for a first time reader I would still recommend reading the b/w editions as they were intended originally.

I found it strange how rereading them in color was such a different experience. Highly reccomended.

one of my favorite things is the page from Scott Pilgrim Volume 5 I have on the wall. I decided I NEEDED to own an original piece from these books... Most people have no idea what it's even from when they see it.

I don't collect Pop figures, but since there are hardly any Scott Pilgrim movie merchandise, I might have to look into this SDCC exclusive.

I also like that it includes Kim Pine, who is one of my favorites since the comics and who likely will never get a figure especially a comic version.

Here is the Ramona Flowers comic figure which Mondo debuted at SDCC last year. I also shared the following in the Toys threads in the Collectibles forum.

Brock Otterbacher (Creative Director of Toys & Collectibles) recently posted this photo on Instagram, so it's likely going to be available for sale on their website in July.

UPDATE: Pre-order begins on June 28 (Tue) for the Ramona figure. Scott's head is the Mondo exclusive accessory.
