Scammer , recaster warning : latest alias Loganprops, recent alias Snikt Shop

Sorry typo, "Sword Holders" Deadpool's back strap for his swords............So without reading all 40 pages has anybody been able to do anything? Sad thing is Bat In The Sun productions deals with this guy and was the only reason i went with him because they suggested it.

Ah, the back strap holders for the swords....I understand now. Thanks!

All I can say is, read this thread from page 1 to 44, it took me a week to get current, but it was worth it for sure.

Helpfulnerd,
thats why I edited my response 2 seconds after writing it. (wow you have fast quote hands :) ) I didn't want you specifically to think that was meant for you. That was in response to 100's of posts about scammers in which that same agency was posted and dozens of solutions were proposed ranging from nasty grams to lists to personal visits. Since your new(ish) (I assume) you may not have seen this agency posted but it has been over and over.

I totally get it. I totally understand where you are coming from.

But keep in mind that most of these folks probably don't know about that Agency.

Not sure if you are referring to my comment about getting the investigative reporters and consumer advocates involved as "create elaborate solutions"

I'm just trying to share ideas about a solution that may get some results. The TV and radio folks do have a far reach, more than any of us on this forum.

Pair that with a Agency that helps folks with Internet fraud and that could be powerful.

Again, just my two cents.

I think the tv consumer advocates would work. But it would need to be local to where "logan" lives.
I would love a " to catch a predator" blitz on him in his home.
That would be quality entertainment , that i would watch

Anyone see his latest sob story and supposed attempt to begin rectifying the situation?
I have archived the latest stall tactic here. new logan excuse.jpg

As usual, more stall tactic from "logan"
If he was so very, very , very (some peeps have been waiting for years) behind on his work, why is he waiting till aug to close sales? Why not immediately?

Let me see if i can recall all the miss direction , stall tactic, ...from "Logan"

"I'm just one of the fabricator in the shop",
" i have a new shop" 3 time??
"my identity was stolen"
"marvel took my snikt shop name"
" my dye sub shop is behind"
" i am hiring helpers for the shop"
"i did not get your email"
"you did not buy from me"
"my secretarial skills are lacking"
"this is not a business"
"i'm not a artist. I'm just a guy making props cheap for people" At the time he was selling my recasted helmet at a higher cost than me!
" I know I am an "artist", I am expected to be a little out there and all over the place"

apologizes if i miss any.
Please feel free to add to the list.

I expect that in about 1-2 months time, there will be a triumphant announcement my him, stating
that due to over whelming pleading request, he will be back making props for people.
Oh, and a new shop name (super snikt logan heroshop: not affiliates with any other shop of similar name...;)) to go with that announcement.

I was just informed of another stall tactic:

" i will fund you $75 (on a $600 paid order). I will get you the rest soon. Now
stop harassing me"

Needless to say I have had INSANE ISSUES with this man. I have now been waiting TWO YEARS, you heard me, TWO YEARS for my products.
At first it was excuses from him such as "Oh my shop is undergoing maintenance." or "Oh I'm moving, after the move!"
MULTIPLE deadlines came and went. Finally, he stopped answering me ENTIRELY. (Keep in mind, I've emailed his "business" emails as well).
I tried being SUPER patient/professional and I think that was where I went wrong.
At this point I'm going to file another BBB claim and see where that takes me. I just want people to know NEVER to do business with him because you will NEVER see your items.
I doubt I'll ever see mine, but I'm going to keep trying.

I last posted in OCTOBER of 2013. It is now JULY of 2014 and I have STILL NOT RECEIVED MY PROPS. It has been roughly THREE YEARS now.........I just can't even haha.
I message him like once a month to try and check up on what is happening, and there is consistently 0 response. He called me out once for posting him on here and said "you're on my list of stuff to get done...."

....LIES. It has been THREE YEARS and since then he has turned out HUGE projects for himself/friends. At this point all I want from him are my dang Wolverine claws props, or my $100 back. Which he said he would REFUSE to ever refund me.....I don't even know what to do anymore. Legal advice would be appreciated.

Just to be clear on this again, as it was brought up many pages ago my me and others:

You can report your complaints to IC3, I have in the past on a couple of different occasions. That's great if people have had success with this approach, and it does not take much work at all to file a complaint.

Having said that, please understand that:

1) IC3 takes your information, and will forward it to an agency or agency that it deems relevant to the case. This could be the local police department (via email or fax, etc) the state attorney's office, the FCC, whatever. The thing is, they decide who, and send it where they want. They pass on information, they will not follow up.

2) The IC3 does no investigation themselves, and they will not update the status of your complaint. They archive the complaint to their site after choosing who to forward the information to, and that's it.

3)The IC3 will also not tell you who they've contacted specifically; if your case is time-sensitive, they recommend contacting local police.

So, my point is this. It doesn't hurt to file with them, but they are not sending your information anywhere that you could not track down given an hour on the internet and a telephone. They are only a hands-off intermediary who electronically forwards complaints to locations of their choosing, and also archives those complaints. My experience has been that, outside of forwarding the complaint to the offender to encourage action on his part, your best bet is to pick up a phone and start calling local law enforcement, stats attorney general's offices, and individual state and county internet fraud divisions if they have one in place. I'm sure the IC3 does forward complaints, but I also know that you get more actions on complaints submitted over a phone to a human than from a faceless organization that you can't even get on the phone.

Just my 2 cents.

Good points laellee, however, I was not inferring that all you had to do was enter a complaint and voila your money is returned and a scammer goes off to jail! I was encouraging people to take direct action without having to spend hours MORE of their life finding the best way to get some legal / law entity involved. It seems people are adrift in the "who do I call" "where do I start loop" and this is a one stop shop.

I think your suggestion that they just forward and file is slightly inaccurate. It is my understanding that if a name continually shows up in the complaints "special" attention can be focused on the potential perpetrator. I have this on pretty good authority from a personal case and a relationship with someone in the organization.

I don't have a horse in this race but I am a warrior against this type of activity and Im proud to say I have played a key role in taking down some "scammers" unrelated to the prop world.
It is also my opinion that once someone sees that people are involving the Federal Government they may think twice about repeating illegal activities. If no action is taken no change will occur.

At the end of the day the point is DO SOMETHING!!!!!

http://www.ic3.gov/faq/default.aspx

FYI from the FAQ:
Q: What happens after I file a complaint?
After you file a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), you will receive an email containing your complaint id and password. This email will contain a link to an area on our site where you can view, download an adobe pdf version of your complaint, and also provide additional information to be added to your complaint.

As Internet crime complaints are reported online, the IC3 electronically compiles the data. Trained analysts review and research each complaint, disseminating information to the appropriate federal, state, local, or international law enforcement or regulatory agencies for criminal, civil, or administrative action, as appropriate.

And I'm not disparaging the IC3, by all means people should file a complaint. An IC3 complaint should be used in addition to and not as an alternative to also contacting authorities directly.

thats straight up a wolfram creative cowl. well if its not logan he's definitely no better than him

That is a Moon Knight helmet I did at GCFX a couple years ago. They started selling them after I left and did my own thing. Definitely NOT a 3D printing. Sucks he claims he did it

just wanted to bring up a interesting info that I stumbled upon. terry Mcginnis ( https://www.facebook.com/futurebatmanbeyond?fref=ts) is either another alias or he's no better than jim because he works alongside him heres proof.View attachment 349676View attachment 349677

Its defiantly from the same set of pics. The same wood frame structure can be seen in the background. Along with the orange colored item.
But i don't think its an alias. A while back, he mention that he occasionally was working with someone on making stuff.
I think he said "a crazy Asian " (his words) named Max Yang. I believed he did some foam work on the arms in the pics.
Typical, his cable / winter solider arm, one of his most popular items, was actually partially made by someone else.
Of course with no credit given to that person.
So is the cowl 3d print or sculpted? He is showing 1 clay wip.
But,I think that still further proof will be needed , either way.
And if the info regarding mask/helmet/cowl is true, then i guess like minded people run together.

Referencing back to David Eugene Winant Jr. (aka. Jim Logan, Loganprops, sniktshop, Bryan P.,.... ) latest sob story,
So, since he wrote -

"*AS OF AUGUST 1st, 2014 - I WILL NOT LONGER BE TAKING ON WORK FOR COSPLAYERS and COLLECTORS in general*
As of now this will be a PERMANENT decision."

"Of course I will still be doing my professional work and taking on professional projects
and contracts I do for companies, film, TV, other media, and etc."

So, i guess that means its selling his stuff through a middleman (https://www.facebook.com/futurebatmanbeyond).
It will be interesting to see how long that last. If the usual scenario plays out, once the customer , not received their items,
its the middleman who gets the heat and the chargeback / refund. Since the middleman would need to know where
David Eugene Winant Jr lives, for the products. That could lead to some interesting conversations and consequences.
And you know what they say " nothing worse than the scorn / revenge of an ex (partnership)"
