Scammer , recaster warning : latest alias Loganprops, recent alias Snikt Shop

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

So,
I was just notified that SniktShop has contacted the lawyer at Marvel and pointed them at some peeps.
It seems that the first item targeted is any online store presence "Etsy, Storenvy..."
I believe that the marvel lawyers contacted the owner of the the store site and asked that the individual store is taken off.
This could be why Snktshop is still making and selling stuff at "Heroes for Hire" FB pages.
It could be that its not a true C&D.

On a very interesting coincidence,
I was recently contacted by a RPF member about the stuff i make. And then, they asked if i had a store!?
Not a typical question to ask.
Now, if this sound familiar to you, please pm me and we can compare notes.
Thanks

So wait, how did he get stopped in the first place then if not by a C&D? Unless he got shut down by Marvel and then in spite gave them a list of names for them to take down after him.

Either way he KNOWS Marvel is watching him and yet he still tries to sell stuff in the FB group? What an idiot.

And also a whiney little b**** for giving up other prop makers names. I'm not affected directly by this but he is such a cry baby and I hope he gets what's coming to him. He already has his shops shut down, but a nice hefty fine would be appropriate now that he couldn't just man up and take the heat. Instead he sang like a canary. He would be someone's play thing in prison, that's for sure. Why anyone would be this guys friend/follower I will never know.

Edit:
Gotta love all of his fans that are so sorry that a 'great guy' like him is being picked on. Calling the people that got scammed 'pathetic' because they are calling him out on his thievery. So upset that he is 'going out of business'.

Get a real job dumb***. Apply those 'sick skills' to something in the REAL world. You can't skirt conventions your entire life.

If i understand the info, it was just his Sniktshop FB page, Etsy and Storyenvy was taken off.

Update

per the posting above ,
Jim Logan states:
"and for the record, I am an active RPF member, I just don't engage in idiotic forum fights."

That is an interesting info.

Except that he engages in stupidity every time he posts a pity story or one of his 'meh' status to gain attention.

So he ratted you out to Marvel, and that email was from their lawyer? You would think a lawyer from Marvel would have a grasp on proper English and grammer, and maybe some professionalism as well.

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

So he has a puppet account on here so he can keep tabs on the thread.

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

The Facebook link above has many people doubting Gregory pan is real, yet a quick Google search brings up Mr. Pan really is a attorney for marvel.

I just wonder if the letter to David was actually from Mr. Pan though?

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

Considering Racer got an email from the same lawyer, I would assume yes.

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

I don't think Racer said he'd been contacted by the lawyer (correct me if I'm wrong). I believe he's simply mentioning that David Winant is now attempting to point the Marvel lawyer toward other prop builders in an effort to bring down the rest of the community (and the prop builder whose emails were posted show this).

From Racer's post, it seems somebody has contacted him asking about a store, and that this person may be Winant in "disguise" looking to take down another prop maker.

I've read Winant's comments on the situation, calling the lawyer unprofessional, etc. It really seems like he doesn't understand - - the lawyer doesn't owe him anything (not an explanation, not a path of reasoning). As long as Winant and the Snikt Shop violate Marvel's copyrights, they'll be gone.

What's strange, though, is no anger is being directed at Winant from the prop builder who's received the C&D. The lawyer even tells him that Winant is the person who told on him......

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

The picture Racer posted above was of his email conversation between him and the Pan fellow. Whether or not he is real is to be determined. He is completely unprofessional in his emails. Even Winant writes better than him. Sometimes.

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

I don't think that picture is of Racer's conversation. It's of a conversation between Pan (the lawyer) and "mysuperheroguy." Clicking on the link takes you to the original post, which Racer liked on fb.

Also, Pan is real. In other posts, Winant says he actually called Pan and spoke with him and that he is, in fact, a Marvel attorney.

Yeah pan is definetly real, his linkedin paste ( however its spelt) says how high up he is, that if you bought a marvel item recently he helped give the licence to that item. Would you really get to contact him directly? Considering how high up he is, and probably sends out hundreds of c &d's, would you really get a direct line to him?

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

Winart also claims Mr.pan took down other stuff aside from marvel, he wanted dark Knight stuff stake down along with a red hood helmet?

I've never heard of that happening before.

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

Yeah, no idea why that would happen. It could be Winant is trying a bit of misdirection to pass the blame - make Pan the bad guy instead of himself for telling on people.

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

Correct.
I have not been contacted by any lawyers.
The post was from another prop builder and the marvel lawyer.

also correct,
about the same time as the take down notice for other prop builders, i was asked if i had a store.

I believed that the suspicions that the take down notice from marvel, which may not be from the real Associate Counsel for Marvel Inc, is the
reason other prop / cosplay builder is not up in arms.

But if Winant did speak to the lawyer, doesn't it makes the email from the counsel to "mysuperheroguy" legit?
And the motivation behind it all: what purpose did it benefit anyone to point Winant to "mysuperheroguy"?
I can not think of any: so that means the email from the counsel is real.

here is a comment i post to the above FB thread (soon to be remove by the owner), which was quickly protested by Winant and removed:

"It is pretty oblivious that Gregory Pan is the Associate Counsel for Marvel Inc. It is also clear that he named Sniktshop aka Jim Logan as the one who turned people in to Marvel. Now, i do not know of many people who are willing to risk their job and career to post false info or to protect a board that they may or may not be a member of. So, i would have to take the info given at its face value. Also Jim Logan, if you are an "active" member of the RPF, would you like to share your user board name with us?"

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

Racer, any idea why Mr. Pan would want batman images taken down considering Mr. Pan is working for marvel? As mentioned in the fb thread you posted.

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

I'm thinking its a ruse and someone is messing with people portraying mr. Pan. Its easy to find info on him as evidenced.

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

On the previous page its been mentioned that winnart, took loads of other prop guys with him, anyone's know who those guys were and have there pages actually gone down?

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

Correct.
I have not been contacted by any lawyers.
The post was from another prop builder and the marvel lawyer.

Sorry. My apologies. I misunderstood the post.

I have suspicions about why a Marvel lawyer would want DC items taken down. Either way it does no good because Winant is still selling items through facebook. It would be awesome if his persona page (can't really call it personal because he is using an alias, which is against FB policy) got taken down as well beings as he is using it as a secondary shop.

Re: Another recaster, and i think this time, I'm done..

Sorry, but i have no idea why DC material was taken down.

But , per the FB posting, G.P. is a real Associate Prinicpile Counsel for Marvel inc
and people have spoken to him.
I would lean towards the belief that this is not a ruse.

So, if the person is real, then the email is real (due to the effect to "mysuperheroguy").
That means, the info contained within is real.
So, that means "mysuperheroguy" was pointed out to Marvel by Winant (aka, Sniktshop, Jim Logan..)
And no, i do not know the reason why.
