But with the popularity rising, and shows like HEROS OF COSPLAY AND NERDGASM hitting the air, that could be a great angle. I cannot call the reporter because I have no real dog in the fight since I never ordered from him. But if someone who was scammed contacted a reporter and talked about the current trend and situation out there. You could sell it as "be the first reporter to address this new trend". With costuming becoming so popular and in the public eye, scammers like Snikt Shop are forming and taking money from people without providing products. The reporter might see this as a chance to bring this to the public's knowledge and use this as an example of what is happening out there. And they might use the Snikt Shop as an example to put fear into other scammer's eyes that media and law enforcement will not stand for it.

But it is the typical "oh, there is nothing we can do", "just brush it under the rug", " let them get away with it"...
That type if mindset right there, will let them continue to get away with it.

I don't think this has been covered before but, the way this guy talks to his customers...Not only is he a fan of the Ebonics/baby language but he can't spell and he's extremely unprofessional.

How can people see this kind of dialogue on a "professional, business" page and be impressed or respect the owner? This is so unprofessional it's sickening....

Just to add one more thing to the long list of arrogant, terrible, unprofessional stuff...

The issue with getting the press involved is that it becomes the whole "bad publicity is still publicity" thing. Look at two of the latest Pawn Stars episodes involving the same individual. In one, the car he is trying to sell actually break down on camera, and looks terrible all-around. In the other, he's selling Ghostbusters stuff, and one can tell he's lying through his teeth, and the product once again looks awful. The sheer fact that he was on TV, regardless of the fact he was made to look like an ass, twice, actually helps him.

There's a delicate line between informing the public and advertising for douchebaggery.

It'd probably be better if we stuck to props, bad sales, and facts; not just criticizing his worn costumes and appearance.

Him going to conventions and making appearances instead of completing his back order is unprofessional. If you are going to run a business then you should run it like a business. Not calling your customers liars and taking their money to fund your own costumes and trips. Not posting pity posts all over facebook. Responding to a paying customer's emails in a timely manner.

I think his lack of professionalism is a huge part of the problem.

Those claws would be worth it at maybe 50 bucks, and thats without sandpaper marks.

I think a big issue with the Snikt Shop is that it's not really a straight-out scam. Some people get their props (perhaps even the majority of customers), and some people are satisfied with them. Others (myself and many on this thread), simply have their money stolen. It becomes very difficult, then, to get the average potential customer to take notice.

I've noticed he always "delivers" when it comes to the big name cosplayers (the ones who's pictures he continually shares) but sort of steals from less-known cosplayers who don't have a following.

He's slick like that. He knows how to manipulate things. It's like a numbers game....

Then he shares the big-name cosplayers pictures over and over again, tagging them in it, so all their fans can see it. He's smart...For a crook....

Yes, I've noticed that as well. The professional cosplayers never seem to have a problem.

I understand that there is a lot of heated issues.
Its unbelievably low and scummy to imply that someone's unborn child is theirs.
But, please try to keep the finger pointing down. Sorry, but i believe proof is needed for any accusation.

Again, its just a miss direction on Snikt Shop's part to deflect the real truth. So, don't let it lose your focus.

I understand the extra side remarks about him is like extra bacon. Everyone, loves extra bacon. But too much of it
could be bad for the health.:lol

I do find it interesting on how high the prices are; if the real reason Snikt Shop is making them is affordability for the average cosplayer.

I do have a idea of how he may have gotten a copy of my cast. Here is some of my thoughts:
Since he was pretty sure about having no direct line of purchase from me,
he probably got it in a trade or bought from someone in FL. The helmet was obtained in a raw state, untrimmed.
He does not have my crest, which is include in all the helmet kit.
I only have one request for a cheaper kit by omitting the crest, is a raw cast and lives in FL.
I have a good idea of who, but i do not wish to accuse without proof.

Regarding the title change, i am open to suggestion. Just post it on the thread.
Please try to get it somewhat pg.

Sorry you had a poor experience. I have nothing but good to say about the Snikt Shop. I ordered props from him and he remained in contact with me the entire time, they were wonderful quality with lots of time & effort put in and I received in time. You need to consider that hundreds of people (if not more) are happy with his work; I don't know why you feel it is your duty to bash him. Let each person find out for themselves! I plan on ordering more.
