Does the current scabbard sold for the standard UT sting fit with the museum collection?

It should be able to. I recall seeing some museum collections sting's fit the sabbard

Yes... BUT, it can be a very tight fit. The UC MC Sting blade is a bit wider than the standard UC Sting and as such will require some effort to make the scabbard usable. The good thing is that the MC Sting blade is relatively sharp which allows it to cut into the internal "holders" of the scabbard.

First off, let me just say that since these scabbards are not precision instruments, there are going to be manufacturing differences from one to another so anything thing that I say is based on my personal experience with the items and discussions with other owners.

My regular UC Sting was a tight fit also, but my MC Sting was even more so. It was the width and not the thickness of the blade that creates the friction with the scabbard internals so the engraving doesn't come into play. Also, IIRC the internal parts that come in contact with the blade are either wood or plastic and soft enough to not damage the blade.
