I haven't had a lot of time on the suit lately, but I got a bit of a chance today. Next week I have some late-shift work so I should get a few hours in.
The tricky part about getting into a rigid suit, is that certain parts of your body are wider than others. I've solved this by splitting the suit in two and welding in some tabs with nuts welded on the inside.
My number two fitter will dress me with a cordless impact driver and an ice-cream container full of bolts.
I'm not going to do much clean-up until I'm sure there's no more cutting and welding mods left.

When you put fat wheels on a car, often you have to roll or flare the guards. Likewise, when I try to fit my fat ass into the Iron Man suit, I have to add some extra-flared guards around the hip-pods.......

You are in a league waaaay above me sir. Looks like you have a professional trade in metal, plus, I can't TIG weld to save my life. I wish I had your skill sets.
I noticed it is in a pose when free-standing. Is it wearable or is it welded in that position?

thanks x). this is mag welding not tig, 1mm aluminium (in french unitys) and it's an armor just for exposition, i have two suit like that for my cosplay x).

It's been a while but I finally got some more time in the shed. This is the time-consuming part now that the suit is built, I have to cut it apart and put in joining/attachment points so I can get into the darned thing.
Also tweaked the reactor a bit and started to fit it into the chest armour.

It's been a bit hectic of late sorry mate. Family function interstate this last couple of weeks and I'm also in the middle of building a large deck off the front of my house for my wife.
Also had a heap of knives to finish for friends and loved ones.
I've been running some adventure groups hiking and canyoning which is taking a lot out of me.
Plus the observatory is keeping me up nights with astrophotography when the moon and clouds permit, and our weekly men's sci-fi movie night in the den below.
I'm back to work next week which means I should get in some after hours progress on the suit in the workshop.
Personally I'm chomping at the bit to get back into it!
