Sandbagger's Iron-Man builds - Now in STEEL

Thanks gang!

TBONE, For the suit, I'm using robo3687's Iron Man MK4 - JFcustom's foam version at the default scale. I have to do some minor adjustments to the waist and cod, but the rest of it fits perfectly. For the helmet, I'm using Sharkhead7854-ironman-helmet-foam-unfold-by-JFcustom and increased it by about 10% I think from memory. If you track back through my thread to where I was making it in cardboard, it's in there somewhere.

SB

EDIT: Found it way back in the thread. I added 15mm to the scale as the default scale was a tight fit with some parts splitting. That 15mm gave me the room I need. I didn't want to add too much otherwise I would look like one of those bobble-heads. (Big head on a small body.)
Cheers for the info SB, I will definitely look into this size. I know what you mean about the bobble head I was afraid of doing that myself! Once again, keep up the great work on the steel build!

Once I clean all the welds up, I still have a lot of beating on a dolly with the planishing hammer to shape and smooth it just right. Then if I have to use bog I will.

Hey man you know i don't think i've asked but, are you using stainless or just steel? I did'nt recall reading about the type of steel, thanx...GM

I got a tweet from a TV crew today followed by a phone call and they are coming out tomorrow to do a story on the Iron Man suit for television.

I quickly had to put humpty together again as I've had him apart to model parts for the steel build.

Now the workshop is all cleaned up, I got both shins cut out. Now to flatten, fold and weld.

All the large parts are done on big sheets, but the little stuff can be traced onto the scraps.

All the parts so far.
