SAN DIEGO COMIC CON 2011 - Whats New, Pictures and Stories, ....Post it all here!

Nice pics! Anything on Harry potter for this year?

The only things I saw of Harry Potter items were costumes Museum Replicas had on display at the eFX booth. I don't recall any other items. I'm pretty sure there were several figures available too but can't recall...perhaps someone else who went and saw more items can chime in.

I hear ya. It is nice. However, it's the POLAR LIGHTS kit with a really nice job. How the Production ones would fair, well, thats a 5k gamble few will have the gnads to wager.

Theres only one person who can answer that and QMX is on this forum.

Any ETA on that Maul?? Or the Luke/Vader

I"m sure next year sometime although I didn't see any card giving a release estimate of which quarter of the year it might be available. I'd say get on Sideshows newsletter which helps when pre-orders openings are announced.

Read a tweet that fans staged a protest against DC's New 52 thing.

That makes me happy.

hmmm if you happen to see those pics again of the joker/dark knight stuff, let me know..haven't been able to find it..thanks

Tymer, was thinking about buying the Barton Robo Cop life size bust. As with many ss pics they do not do the piece justice. Since you were there and saw it up close do you think it's worth the 8 bills? Thanks.

Man, so much cool stuff. Glad I don't collect these things - I'd be in the poor house!

To be honest, your asking the wrong person because I simply don't care for busts in general. I went back and looked at other pics I had of it and its price is actually $850 so you'll probably be paying over $900 for it after shipping but save a few buck on tax since your in Vegas. An outside vendor who discounts sideshow pieces might save you a few more bucks. I wouldn't buy it myself but thats a personal preference and shouldn't sway you either way. Admittedly I think it looks cool for what it is but would rather spend that kinda money on something else thats full figured......Their Robo Cop premium format figure last year I liked must better, cheaper and wanted to buy it but just couldn't swing the extra money over what I already had spent. But again I admit I don't like busts so keep that in mind. I try to get to the comic con early enough before full set-up so I can take pics of some of their items while the case are still off since they impede getting really good pics. Perhaps someone else here can post more pics if they took better ones and help you decide but bottom line you'll have to search your heart and wallet if its worth it to YOU and YOU only.

Here's an additional pic I had...hope it helps

Wish I knew what "KNB" means....god I hate abbreviations.

It's the initials of the founders of an FX company...Kurtzman, Nicotero and Berger. (They parted ways a while back, "K" moved to Ohio and started Precinct 13, "N" & "B" carried on in Hollywood.

It's the name of the company. Created by Kurtzman, Nicotero, and Berger. They are a special effects company that are currently working on The Walking dead. They worked with Robert Kirkman who wrote the walking dead to create a life sized zombie bust for SDCC.

Now that I know what your talking about think I do recall seeing it but looked thru my folder of pics and didn't take any. If someone else got pics please post them and help Scareb out.

I got kind of lucky yersterday when a buddy texted me to get my ass over to the Anovos booth. Here's the result:
GrantandMe.jpg

It doesn't get any geekier than a photo with a Mythbuster in a BSG uniform while you're wearing an "The Angels have the Phone Box" shirt and Jack Bauer's Day 5 bag while at SDCC :D

Sadly we kinda rushed the photo which is the only reason Grant looks more enthused than I do.
