San Diego Comic Con 2009 Photos

Yeah, I'd also like to see those. Especially if anyone got any when I was posing with them in my OWK TCW. I don't have any pics of myself from this year.

Can't wait to see more!

Oh, the irony! I guess the "Tron 2.0" video game is going to be canon to the story after all! For those who don't know what I'm talking about, in the game "Tron 2.0", you play the character of Jet Bradley (Alan Bradley's son) gets pulled into the computer world after his father is kidnapped by a rival company. Jet hears about an unfinished program that was written by his father which would have been the latest and greatest version of his father's security program (the original Tron from the first film). Basically, the name of the unfinished code of the program was called "Tron Legacy". Bradley takes the code and tries to compile it into an A.I. program called Ma3a, who has the same voice and some personality quirks of his deceased mother, Lora (played by Cindy Morgan in the original movie), with some not so great results.

I just got back from SDCC and took about a thousand photos of various things. I'll post a link once I get them edited and sorted.
I got real good pix of the Star Trek bike and the GI Joe costume details. I also got obsessively large amounts of Transformers pix. (working on the matrix)

The History Channel or someone should cover this on TV. I'd rather watch this, the pannels, then some of the lame shows that are on now, (i.e. Daisy of Love, who cares?).

A few pics I took at SDCC of the IM set up, nothing new or exciting over what others posted. I am friends with the guy running this booth so I got to spend some time looking at them up-close before the show opened but my camera sucks, and many of my con photos did not turn out, especially any of the close shots I took of anything. But it was a cool as display (shipped right from the movie set)
They did give out a cool print that included a photo of all 4 versions of the armor at the Jon Favreau signing session. It is really nice, but it too big for my scanner so no image of that.
I am throwing the camera out.:unsure
Here are a few that turned out a little.

One last one, I just could not resist getting a shot of myself with the armor:rolleyes

G4 does a couple hours each day from the con.

SDCC ROCKED!!
What a blast and it was great seeing everyone! I'd run down and list everyone I met but the truth is that as of right now it's 'still' all a blurr... :lol ..but quite a few RPF'ers that's for sure!

First up I want to thank eFX for allowing me to display at their booth. They're all such a great bunch of guys who are also very passionate about what they do. We all know how great their replicas are but seeing the Nautilus and Vader Concept helmet in person was like stepping back in time to when I first saw that ship in 20,000 LutS... or those RM Vader drawings on SW trading cards or in magazines. These works of art really bring you back, and are truly a dream to see realized in person. Just unbelievable work all around....and their new Tie Fighters are simply remarkable!!!! I think it's safe to say that my collection will need to expand...

Everyone at the show was just so cool, having fun and just great to hang out with.:)
To be honest, I'm surprised my voice held out for the entire show. lol
I didnt get to roam around so unfortunately I did miss some of you.

During all the madness, I did manage to snap a few pics....or get others to take them for me...:)

Me with Brian. Great hanging with you buddy!

I really had a lot of fun and I cant wait until the next opportunity to meet you all. :)

All of you are just a wonderful group of guys/gals who know how to kick back and have some honest to goodness fun.
Seriously great seeing you all!

I've published a lot of Comic Con coverage on the Original Prop Blog, including photos and video/interviews:

My coverage is focused on items of interest to original prop collectors (interviews with Profiles in History, PropWorx, Prop Store of London; photos of those exhibits and original props on exhibit).

Thanks,

Jason DeBord

Chris I found one on Flickr of you in that, but it wasn't on stage, or with clones. I'll see if I can find it again...
