Anyone ever make one of these? Would seem easy enough, no?

Never made one.....but, must admit.....would be an interesting collectable.

Just the kind of stuff I'd like to collect myself. Unique, strong t.v. history, never done before. (that I know of anyway).

Ebay has a ton of those wheels for under $100. I'm guessing it's the 36". I may just tackle this one too.

I wouldnt mind having one of those. Hang it up on a wall, and make friends with someone who doesnt mind being called "Little Buddy".

Spiffy idea.

I've got a friend who is practically IMPOSSIBLE to buy stuff for because he buysEVERYTHING...but he can't buy one of these :D

Anyone going to volunteer to take a crack at scaling/creating the signage part?

Oh lord.... :lol I hurt my side a little on that one.

Would anyone be interested in a replica of the radio? I am currently molding an original radio to reproduce more. A troupe of actors/look-a-likes who do the "Castaways" for parties and special events wants one. But they could only find a green one on ebay,($400.) So we are molding to get the correct color, and pettle a few to help cover mold costs. I have the molds almost done, but am waiting on the guy doing the drawings for the brass ethching and decals. So we are a ways off but they will be coming. I will post when I have an E.T.A. and price.
For those who don't know me, I'm Dave formerly "Immaculate Conceptions" ( I closed down the business, just freelance now) I used to do the Han in Carbonite, Capt. America Sheilds, Thor's Hammers, R2D2s, Kit Fisto Heads etc. I haven't been around much for the last few years, I've been doing other non-prop related work, but hope to be back propping again here soon.

I'd love to see how your radio turns out. I could be interested, depending on price.

I'm a Gilligan fan, too, and don't want to pour salt water over what could be the flowering of more GI-related replicas on the board. But the soliciting for interest in a radio replica in this thread could be taken as hijack.

Dave, no offense intended, but maybe you should start a separate thread about the radio? I'd be interested, by the way. :p

dfrey79, you've got a nice idea about the Charter Wheel there. An iconic prop, but not too difficult or expensive to make. I'd love to see you run with this. :thumbsup

Don't they also make scale versions of the wheel? People could make smaller ones if they are limited on space. ;)
