Has anyone bought the rubies catwoman (dark knight)
Im thinking of purchasing it for the suit, gloves and belt.
The goggles ive purchased from someone else
So im looking for a cheaper alternative for the full body suit and the rest.
Any feedbacks? I mean, the material wont be anything compared to real leather, but is it at least anything close? Thanks

Here's a site with some reviews... I'd say it's a waste of money and would be worth commissioning elsewhere. If you got a nice set of goggles, go nice for the rest too! :)

I think that's the one my friend bought and apparently it was aweful. Then again, none of the ones I've seen for sale look any good unfortunately :(

I was able to get my hands on a " Dark Knight Rises Secret Wishes Catwoman adult costume" and I would not recommend it.

The mask/goggles were ok for non working and one time use. The belt is horrible and floppy. The worst part of the costume is the sleeves, which are not long sleeve. The sleeves ended above the elbow and even with the gloves on there was not 100% coverage.

I would recommend going on ebay an ordering a Lycra/spandex catsuit. Then just add over the knee boots, and opera gloves. It all depends how much you want to spend and how accurate. If anyone is intrested I can post some pictures of the items.

My gf is looking to do her own Catwoman suit but clearly the licensed ones out there are crap. Can any of you ladies recommend where to look for individual accessories and the suit, on say a $100-$150 budget? Looking for bang for buck here, around 75%+ screen accuracy will do. Thanks in advance.

Alright, thanks for the feedback guys, i guess i just have to wait and save up for a better option!

I got this one: Catwoman Costume - Womens Batman the Dark Knight Rises Halloween Costumes

I'm rather tall, 5'10, so I had to get the large. The other post about the sleeves being 3/4 is indeed correct. I'm going to try to stretch the material to see if that works. It's not a bad costume for $40.

Can either of you post pics of the suit? I'd like to get a better look at the material. Also, any complaints or things you'd change? Not sure if the boot covers on the leggings look ok or if you recommend getting a pair of long boots to go over them.

I will try to post a pic later. My complaints are the short sleeves, and overall shortness of the suit. The leggings aren't bad, I was pleasantly surprised, however, like I said I'm so tall that there's no way I can wear them how they're made to (the top portion of the boot cover is so high up on my thigh). There is a velcro piece at the bottom that straps around your shoe. I can't strap it because I need to hike up the suit to fit my upper body, so I am currently looking for over the knee boots to wear instead. It may be easier just to get the boots, there may be a gap between the shoe and the boot cover where the elastic band is.

The material is thin, and doesn't look exactly like the picture from the link I posted before.

Sleeprfocus,

I would just order a lycra/latex cat suit either on ebay or amazon. Boots; search for "over the knee boots" on ebay. Gloves; search ebay for "Opera gloves" or just hit up a halloween store and pick up long costume gloves. The mask/goggles you can buy for around 20 bucks on some costumes sites. However, you may hit the 150 mark with these items alone and that is excluding a belt.

I finally went to a store with my gf to see this suit in person, it's crap. The bodysuit itself is actually ok, they got the texture pretty close, but not that formfitting for women sizes 0-2. The belt and mask are complete junk. As bhodie said, you're better off building your own, the problem is finding a belt that looks close.

I think what needs to be asked is what this costume is for. Is it just for wearing one time at Halloween or is this for Halloween as well as cons? For just Halloween the Rubies is probably good enough for $43, for wearing for cons and Halloween then it's definitely not worth it.

Sadly my gf was looking at this purely for just this Halloween and even at $40-$50 it still wasn't worth it! I suppose girls wanna look good, even when they're dressed in costumes once a year.
