rub off decal printer paper question

I was at the store the other day and I saw some rub off decal printer paper.
I was thinking this could come in handy if I wanted to replicate a book or something.

Does anyone know how well this stuff stays on?
Does it flake off after time, or can you spray some kind of sealant on it to make it permanent?

Never seen such a thing, and I've looked for it! What store was it in, did you notice the brand?

Any pre made rub offs I've seen would be fine for something that won't be handled much, but would need a sealer otherwise. They were slightly sticky on the backside.
