Rub N Buff

I am making a Jango. I had the surface like glass. I Rub N buffed and It looked fantastic. I need to mask for the blue. I let the RNB dry for 2 days but masking tape still pulled of the RNB even though my finger did not. OK, so I used testers gloss coat which I have used before as a final coat, but never tried to mask after, It dulls it a little but I thought it added to the weathering. I tried to mask with tape after 12 hrs and it pulled off.

I hope I can pull it all off, if it still comes off after a few more hours of drying(which I suspect it will), without having to resand.

So, What can I use over the RNB that I can use masking tape on that wont pull off a vertual glass surface?

I have heard of Future floor wax but no nothing about it.

Thanks for the help, Ben

I didn't use any coat at all...
Just keep on rubbing with your palm.
The paste will then create a harden surface that don't rubb of.
The tape will probably dull the surface, but don't I think that's a problem, a weathered helmet should't be too shiny in my mind ;)

I painted my helmet first.
1. Primer
2. Silver
3. Mask then Blue
4. Mask then RNB

Good Luck

Well I did RNB first. However I descovered testors gloss coat makes a fantastic liquid mask for RNB. LOL. Seriously though.
