Question RPF Notification emails are getting caught in the spam filter

According to AOL this is more than just settings on my end, the entire AOL network is finding something within the emails that would cause them to mark all of the RPF notifications as spam. But they say if the site administration contacts them that they could add The RPF to their whitelist.

The only reason left why the emails from the website you subscribed keeps going to your spam folder is if the email contains attributes that recognized by AOL as spam. I would suggest that you ask the administrator of the website to file a support request at AOL Postmaster as it would seem that they have been blocked by the Postmaster for sending emails in bulk. Please have them to follow the steps below on how to file a support request.

1. Visit http://postmaster.aol.com.
2. Click on the “Postmaster Support Request” link.
3. Under “For Internet Senders (non-AOL members):”, choose the most appropriate reason for your request on the drop down menu.
4. Click Next.
5. Answer the next two questions and fill up the form with the required information.
6. Accomplish the Image Challenge.
7. Click “submit your request”.

AOL Postmaster should be able to resolve this issue by adding them to our whitelist.

I have been receiving notification emails for some threads, and not for others, sometimes sporadically and at random.

They are not going to my spam folder, just not getting them, on & off.

I'm sure it has to do with the new server teething problems & will be sorted out eventually.

All of my notificaion emails over the last 2 or 3 weeks have been going in my spam filter and I have NOT changed any of my settings.

Not sure if anything was changed with the outgoing email, but the notifications are no longer getting caught in the spam box.

Thanks for the confirmation as we did submit our domain through the proper channels so that it would not be marked as spam.

As of this morning I have not received any notification emails. I just checked my settings and nothing has changed. Anyone else having this issue at the moment?

Did you check your spam folder and who is your email provider?

My account is linked to my hotmail account. Nothing from the RPF has been sent to my junk folder - no spam folder that I can find.

The junk folder is the hotmail version of a spam folder. We just sent out a membership wide email, so that might be slowing delivery down at the moment.

Same problem here - no email delivery at all.

I'm the IT director at my company. We use Google Apps business email. It's basically the fancy version of Gmail...but for businesses. There is nothing in the main system or my individual account spam folder but spam.

FYI: I did not get an email from you guys.

There are two separate issues here, the original being that AOL was sending our emails directly to the spam folder... that issue has been resolved. As to the issue of notifications not being received, please refer to the following.

We have sent out a membership wide email, and it appears that with all of those emails queued up, the notifications are being added to the queue as well. The notifications will probably show up once the other emails have all been sent. As this is the first mass emailing that we have done since switching to the new servers we will be reviewing the process and tweaking were necessary.
