Royal Guard Force Pike

I'm in the process of completing a Royal Guard costume and I'm making my own force pike. I have the bottom piece already which is the same/similar piece used on an Obi-wan saber. I was wondering if anyone had done one of these before. Any tutorials, tips, or pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

The information you seek is plentiful on the forums at www.forcepike.com - lots of tutorials, pics, and people to help you out. I've got a bunch of material for making one, but haven't gotten around to starting yet.
