Round2 Acquires Star Wars License

Does anyone know when the Millennium Falcon reissue is supposed to be out? I love the AMT kit and have been excited for this reissue since they announced it would have new sidewalls and sensor rectenna.

The best estimate is probably early 2023.

I had a neat thought. I have one of those old AMT cut-away Millennium Falcon kits unbuilt. I wonder if I could take the Falcon interior from the AMT kit and use it in the new R2 kit, obviously cutting the R2 top section to make the interior accessible and visible.

It would certainly fit the saucer, the problem is the sidewalls would be too short now. and you would not be able to connect the top to them

I knew if I had waited for this kit, it would have been less work then my Revel kit. And I would have had all the cut outs on the engine.

Do we know if Round2 has an upgraded Imperial Shuttle Tyderium in the works? At least another cockpit and newly designed accurate dorsal wing are needed . . . see samples :

They do not. Jamie at Round2 said the molds were lost/presumed destroyed.
That could be a good thing if they later make a new tool. And there's one on ebay right now for $55 "buy it now." That's about half what I sold each of my last two for a few years ago. There's no box, but better that than a "sealed" that no one knows for sure what's in it, but possible surprises.

I know JeffBond ... yet I could buy 3 kits that Dedalus5550 mentioned for the price of that one cockpit. Oh well I have 2 kits one half finished and poorly painted and one I got second hand without a cockpit ... perhaps if I feel like it,I'll scratch build a new dorsal fin and cockpit. I doubt Round2 will invest time, energy and money in creating a Shuttle Tyderium from the ground up ... even if it could become a best-seller ... now that celebrating 40 years of Return of the Jedi is just around the corner ;)

If anyone is still waiting, the Razor Crest should be shipping any day now, from some retailers.
