Hi all.
These days I reworked my 3 years old armor, tryng to capture the most accuracy for a piece that is really a Nightmare for all the Rots Vaders.
As many know, the Rubies armor is correct in size, but totally failed about form and thickness.
The major differences are in the middle section; as you can see, the real Rots is more cutted and it's present the same crest of the OT VAder, instead the Rubies has a wrong edge.
In my opinion is wrong also the length of the bells, that appear too short on the Rubies..well...I generically reassume all the defects in this pic..
Finally the colors....for all this years I was convinced that the armor was total glossy....I wrong ...the real Rots is glossy in the black stripes , but the greys are satinized , as you can see in the promo pics, the tour suit and, obviously, the movie backstage.
I opted for the Duplicolor 70-0020 with any type of transparent layer, I like his real opacity result ( in real view is a little darker than in pics ) and tried to resolve all this aspects, cutting and remolding the middle section ( consequently raising a little the 2 dimples ), adding lateral flutes to support the bells, lengthening the bells around others cm 2,5 and that's the result...
Next days I'll fix the bells with the hinges and take a pics with the MR helmet to confront.
