ROTJ E11 from MGC STERLING MkV. Let's do this!

Hello everyone.

So, I was lucky enough to get my hands on an MGC Sterling SMG and now of course, I want to do the best conversion possible.

Since this is the gun that was used for the ROTJ version of the E11, that is what I am considering. I have had a hard time finding the parts, even cast resin parts, to progress with this build. Also I recently ordered the ANOVOS Storm Trooper kit. I am under the impression that this kit is mainly for the ANH stormtrooper. Is it possible to go ANH in the suit and ROTJ in the blaster and still be accepted in the 501st? Do you guys have any recommendations?

First things first, I am gonna get to some cleaning and greasing. There are a few specks of rust here and there that I'm gonna clean of. Also just to take it apart and look at the insides. It's in really good condition so it won't be much work.

One last thing. I am looking for the MGC Mouser C96 and also a Webley and Scott No.1 Mark 1 Flare Gun. So if anyone has one of these to give up, please PM me

Very cool, will be following the thread. If not a big secret how much did you pay for it? Will you be converting it fully, like screen used, or making it to still have working magazine and spring / bolt?

For ROTJ Stormtrooper armor consider CfO, it's the best out there

I will definitely be going for the screen used full conversion. I don't have much interest in weapons in general, except the ones we have seen on the big screen
Now I'm just looking for the right parts.

I don't think the price is a secret. I got it from a nice guy here in Denmark. He sold it to me for 290 dollars approximately.

I believe you can get basic acceptance in the 501st with ANH armor and the ROTJ blaster. After all, we accept modified Hasbro toys, and they SUCK.

You couldn't get Centurion status with that, though.

Exactly. A great price indeed. We've seen these go for 3 times the price unconverted and not in perfect shape.

Hmm.. It is of course nice to have a accurate costume. But I feel it would be a waste to use it on a ANH convertion. And that it would be a waste to convert the ANOVOS to a ROTJ. So I am kind of split.

As I said above check with CfO, Mark is member here too. You can get the ROTJ TK armor from him and also some of the E-11 greeblies

The MGC is neither a REAL, nor a de-activated weapon, but a simple replica
