Roman's not as cool as most make him out to be ... he sold me my first OWK saber and I've been broke ever since. Friggin' fraggin' raggin' lightsabers ... :)

I'm not sure about this Roman guy...

BUT...

Chuck Norris once ordered a Big Mac at Burger King...

and GOT ONE!

True Story.

*ss*

I'm coming into this late and haven't even seen the "thread". I really don't care as I know that Roman is a supurb seller and a top shelf guy:thumbsup

As was said, sometimes things can go wrong, and sometimes buyers can be the thorn in the side.

Way to make a judgement without even knowing the facts.

Well then maybe you should read it first because if dont know what is about, thats a pretty stupid statement then. Sometimes sellers can be as bad if not worse. I see a lot more issues on here with sellers/deadbeats issues on here then buyers. If a seller has a great track record, but hoses on a few or one is still not cool. What time is the award cermony for this anyhow sheesh.. :unsure my 2 cents like any other ass here.

You did.

You admit he's generally a great asset to the hobby. Yet you call him a liar.

Perhaps you could learn to "temper your judgement with intuitive insight".

That's where being a PART of this group and not just a lurker would come in handy.

You whine that you got the smack down in your thread. What do expect when you attack a well respected member of a community?

Grow a thicker skin and participate, maybe we'll gain more respect for you.

jeez, are you the official posting number cop, what is standard allotment of posts to make you acceptable per day/month/year? Not everyone has to post a "yea' "cool" "sweet" pile up of posts. People can post when and how much or how little they want. Just because someone has a few thousand posts, doesnt make them the shizznizz versus someone that has maybe a few hundred. :unsure

As Nekrofanatic said"Damn, is a little perspective anywhere to be found? One member has an issue with another, explains the issue and simply states:

"So, am I right here? Anybody think that I'm wrong? I'm open to perspective..."

Other members give some perspective all right, accusing Fh of mudslinging, being a sock puppet, being the meanest sum-***** around, and generally haranguing a guy who only asked for an OPINION.

Not everyone has a positive experience with every member here. There probably isn't ONE member who hasn't fluffed off another in some way, shape, or form. But, dog-piling on FH for bringing his concerns public? Shameful."

Sorry, for the most part I think it (post count) does demostrate how much you"belong" to an online community. Not always to be sure.

He asked for opinions, he got it, but didn't like the answers, then started whining.

I just think calling him a LIAR was too harsh, that's my opinion and I wanted to support Roman

Something wrong with that?

I asked for opinions, not flaming and being accused of being a sock puppet by you.

Oh, and calling my posts whining only reflects poorly on your maturity level.

What gets me is how some of you rush to support Roman and flame me even after he openly admitted to going back on his word.

Also, thanks to those of you here who are defending my position. It is truly appreciated.

I think getting ganged up on was more on it then getting answers. As far as post counts go. Someone as majorily multitalented rpf member by the name of Doody for example whos been here since 03' and only has 265 posts "belongs here" big time and is a integral part to this community, so your logic on that is flawed. As i said, every ass has an opinion, mine included, you got yours, I got mine, everyone else has theres. Something wrong with that??

I guess there is there difference. Nobody has written anything that I consider flaming. Even you.

Don't ask the question if you don't want to hear the answer.

I totally agree with Takevin, and I believe the way Foehammer has been treated today is a disgrace.

The way Roman dealt with this guy is just poor, unprofessional, business.

Not a scam, but a bad wayto do business. If any of you guys were treated like this by a high-street store, you'd be pissed and rightly so. Roman broke his word, made no effort to even let FH know, and holds onto his money for, what, six months, when it coulda been mking interest in the bank?

Yet you guys rip him a new arsehole, 'cos Roman's your buddy, and Foehammer some schlep with a low postcount :rolleyes

Pretty disgusting, ethically challenged behaviour imho.:thumbsdown

Calling someone a liar when there was no lie is just as bad as accusing somone of recasting where there was no recasting. It was an exaggeration to gain attention in the wrong kind of way. In fact, I would go so far as to call it liable. So don't be supprized that so many people came to support Roman and HammerFoe got burried in his complaint. If H.F. had been more honest in the situation instead of wrongly accusing Roman of lying, the flame would not have escallated to what it had.

Many of us who support Roman have said that it probably could have been handled differently on his part but did make it right in the end and that's what counts. That's still no reason to call someone something they are not.

Use some common courtesy people. That's what this comes down to. You've got a complaint, fine. Be honest in your report about it. That's all people here are saying. Don't say anything here you wouldn't say to someones face. And remember, someone once said, "Seek first to understand, then react."

And it never hurts to remind people what an asset Roman (or anyone else)has been to this community.

I have nothing against either of the 2 involved (as I know neither)...

But I think Roman admitted to what he was being accused of by FH, which doesn't make FH a liar. Also, how did Roman make things right in the end?

I don't think you have all the info on this, BMS. Just an FYI.

I personally worry because I'm more of a lurker than poster, which now apparently means that any popular guy could screw me over & leave me in the dust while the sellers popularity and much larger group of friends trash me to bits.

Not saying that's what happened here, though I'm sure FH certainly feels that way.

*ss*

Roman told Foehammer something that he later went back on, and did not even contact FH to let him know or refund the money. I would say the use of the word liar is strong, but really a matter of semantics.

Wow. I didn't know MY opinion carried so much weight (like I do).

This is exactly the same type of internet over-reaction that caused this whole thing.

For ******'s sake grow a thicker skin.

I'm done here.

Perhaps my use of the word liar is a bit strong to some, but I feel that when someone tells you something and then goes back on it, it becomes a lie. Changing your mind and then not telling the person makes it a lie of omission. Maybe I shouldn't have said that he lied to me, but misled me by accepting my money for a good that was promised and not delivered. But then that makes it sound like I'm accusing him of being a scammer, which I'm obviously not.

Like Birdie said, if this had been a company like MR or Sideshow, or anything else for that matter, it would incite the biggest pitchfork & torch riot in the history of the forums. Bigger than those old rehash riots of the last couple years.

Anyway, Roman has apologized and returned the extra money, and that's all he can do at this point since he has no kits left. There's nothing to gain by posting about it endlessly, so life goes on. Live and learn.
