Robocop

I've seen it over 100 times and I never get bored with it. One of my favorite movies of all time for sure. It's just such a fantastic movie from start to finish; scenes like in the cocaine shop are still exciting 22 years later. One of the few movies I just absolutely love to watch. 2 wasn't bad, 3 was atrocious and I won't even get started on any of the other stuff that's out there. One day I'll own a robocop costume to display but for now I just wanted to gush about how amazing that film really was.

:thumbsup I agree 100% on the Robocop one. That movie is insane even today. Love it.
That cocaine lab scene is just incredible.

"Drop your weapons, or there will be,......trouble." Just too cool!

Robo 2 Blew
Robo 3 Was a cinematic crime..
Robo 4 , I didnt even bother.

There was no Robocop 4, unless your refering to the 8 hour Prime Directives Mini Series. and yes, It was pretty bad.........

I am looking forward to the remake, if it ever gets finished.

as for part 3, This line works best.

"Somewhere there is a crime being commited. Yeah, Making this film.

:lol Thanks Brian,, 3 was so bad I guess i heard about the series and thought it was a movie . Never saw the series. After Robo one it just plummeted. Kinda like some other sequels I wont mention...

Between the designs for Robocop and ED-209 (not to mention Robocop's Beretta) this film was an instant home-run for me. It's in the same category as other 'golden' 80s films that really laid the groundwork for my interest in props: BTTF, Ghostbusters, Batman '89 (to name a few).

Robocop costume display? I'd buy that for a dollar!

The best part about Robocop is Clarence Boddicker. :thumbsup

"C'mon, Sal, the Packers are playing tonight. Never miss a game."

1 was fantastic.

2 was....eh. It was ok but a little too knowing.

By 3, it was all over. Just a parody of itself (which was originally a parody, so what's that leave it by the time we get to 3?).

My favourite line is the last one-

(Nice shooting son; what's your name?)

"Murphy."

Robocop is easily in my top ten all time favourite films- top five depending on my mood. The whole death/resurrection layer is fantastic! :thumbsup

Please someone tell me I'm not the only person who gets almost a little teared up when he's going through his old house and is remembering everything from his former life?

You're not the only one. I LOVE Robocop. Much like Terminator it's one that I stayed up late to watch illicitely. I remember crying as well when Murphy was taken out by Clarence to be turned into Robo. It was probably a bit much for my young brain to process, but I still love the film nonetheless.

I think my favorite line is the "@*&$*!, leave." when he walk into Bob Morton's place to kill him.

+1 Loved that scene. The whole movie had cool one liners. Watched it a while back and loved it even more. It was filmed here in Dallas and one of my acting coaches was in it. He played the whiney cop at the begining in the locker room. Peter Weller was perfect as Robo, like the scene where he shoots the guy in the bizness thru the ladies dress and she runs up to thank and hug him, and he states coldly "You are in shock, I will notify a rape crisis center immediately." Something like that. classic.

I still want one of those 2000 SUX cars
I'd buy that for a dollar !
