Bought this casting off of eBay several years ago. It was in horrible shape--bubbles, voids, distortion, poor detail. I knew it wasn't accurate when I bought it, but I had hoped it would be in better shape. Well, I had a couple of kids and it ended up sitting on the shelf, but I got motivated recently and decided to fix it up.
I cleaned it up, fixed as much as I could on it, customized some details to make it a little more screen accurate, added some greeblies and accessories, painted it, and made a base for it. It'll go in the home theater when I get around to building that. Turned out pretty well from where it started.
