hey bimmer thanks, yeh not a costume just a statue but i want it to look like you can wear it as in tonys garage, so i dont mind the open areas. I have just enuff room for a glass case, if it turns out ok i'll go ahead and build a stand with some sort off clamping system on the feet :>

Some news I used el lighting
Cut the size I need had on for 3hs and the sides
Are burning out got them off eBay
Will look at usein LEDs next I think

Ok boys here's the final product minus the hip pods and the electronics. I've had to cut numerous parts for comfort, fit, and mobility.

I've spent the last week trying to figure out how to mount everything and here is what I've come up with.

LOTS OF HOT GLUE, ELASTICS, AND VELCRO.

After putting everything together i realized that the head was too large...but it actually fits my head perfectly.

Robo i know that you've been waiting for someone to put everything on.. so here it is...

i'm about 5'10" with a 34 waist. the legs i left default but i scaled up the upper body.
ironically i had to trim down more on the thigh parts then on any other parts.
keep in mind that everyone's body size is different and that you'll have to probably rebuild some pieces several times.

i know that ppl on mac are having a hard time with this build and some have suggested parrells - for what i have read older macs wont run it that well, BUT there is a WiNE alternative you can checkout maybe - its called CrossOver CodeWeavers Products, CrossOver Mac Windows, CrossOver Linux Windows, Windows to Mac Games, Mac Windows - CodeWeavers

Wow, the last few days have been insane trying to get my suit ready for yesterday's convention (Central Canada Comic Con). Ran out of time to get proper straps and buckles put on, so I went with adhesive velcro. Sadly the adhesive does not hold up well under heat and the weight of the armor, so I spent most of the time trying to hold my suit together lol. My girlfriend was a trooper, the whole time she was trying to help me keep things attatched. Still looked wicked and was a heck of a good time.

ALMOST DONE!! for today costume contest!!! i need to do just the hands (with light), neck seal (vinyl straps) and...some details that i noticed on friday and saturday.
In the contest on friday i was beated by "the predator" cuz i did'n have my helm (was @ my home cuz the hinges weren't ready) and yesterday i did'n get on time to the custome contest, but today!! i gotta win!!!! hope so =D

I got some bad new. I thought i was the only one in town (being a smaller town) making and Ironman suit, but at all our halloween parties last night there was someone with their own suit! They beat me to it. Mine' wont be done untill next year! now i just have to make mine better then his!

I am not going to get this done to a detailed stage, but I am still wearing it@! I think it still looks cool even though I have not been able to get all the parts done or smooth. I have still gotten a ton of complements on it, so I must pass it back to robo and say thanks again.

Great work everyone! Kudos again to Robo for his awesome files!

After the Con yesterday I was able to fix up a couple issues with my helmet so I could wear the faceplate properly. So here's me with my stripped down version I wore today.
