Anyone know approx what the shoe size would be for the default scale? i have a size 10 foot im wondering if its even close to that size

Re: robo3687's Pep Files -Imperial Commando helmet posted! 25/9/10

Printing question: This may have been covered before but there's A LOT of pages to go through, so I apologize in advance.

I'm doing a MK IV armour and I've done the helmet and the neck (I downloaded the .rar from the begining of this thread...Thank you Robo BTW). Anyway the helmet and the neck went fine but when I printed the shoulder plates (and didn't scale to fit) several items were cut off. I reprinted it (scaled to fit) but I don;t know if they're too small.

I'm using letter size card stock.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I've attached my progress pics as well (this is also my second helmet attempt...the first didn't go so well).

Thanks

JMar

when you print things off in standard scale only a small portion of what your printing will get cut off and most of it is negligible.

OK I'm looking at the first print off and I'm seeing it now that you've said it....I've found sometimes that's all it takes.

Thank you so much!

I believe the default is a size 10 to 10 1/2. That's what I have anyhow by default.

I'm a size 10, and I used the default scale. They fit me.

Just wanted to share a bit of my work! What do you think? You all have probably seen a thousand helmets already but oh well! haha

personally for the elbows, i'd use some rubbermaid plastic to make a disk matching the already pepped joint disk.

then, have the elbow and forearm fused as one piece, and put on the bicep and elbow so you can mark where the joint should be on the bicep. then, fuse the rubbermaid disk to the bicep, and punch a hole thru the center of the disk and the pepped disk.

afterward, just use a rivet or something to join the two pieces and you have a good solid rotation joint.

Re: robo3687's Pep Files -Imperial Commando helmet posted! 25/9/10

so in theory i could get away with punching a small hole in the elbow joint, and running one of those paper fasteners on either side into the pepp
ed joint

here's ironman chilling out on my ....bed.... hahahah i don't a mannequin so i have to just rest it up.

i'm currently putting on the outer coat of resin and gonna glass this weekend.
the helmet is upscaled too much so i'll have to rebuild it again for the third time....fml

idk bout paper fasteners, but anything that will stand up to some tension. personally i'd use some type of rivet about a quarter inch wide so its flared on both sides and wont come out.

So I have been monitoring this thread now for 3 months+ and have been building the entire suit... I am finally at a place where I am excited to show it off.

this is the first pep project I have ever done, same with working with plastic and bondo.

Currently we have about all the parts from the codpiece up nearly ready to paint. Everything below ill be done within 2 weeks.

Everything but the helmet was crafted from Robo's artwork. Robo you did an amazing job preparing the pep files for us!

Later today we will be adding the programmed lights and movement to the mask. I am so excited!

Hey Spondoro

pretty sweet build. i'm sure you've read from previous posts, and a lot of other people out there want to know what your build scales you used and your body dimensions. (height, waist, boot size )

can't really see the arms too well but did you articulate them somehow?
thanks and keep up the good work.

I kept mine pretty much the same scale as the original files. I did expand the codpiece and abs 5% as I could not fit into it at all without adding about 2 inches around it.

My size is 5'9.25", 160 pounds, shoe size 9.5. Wll be working on the feet this week.
