Robby the Robot - Licensed only please!

Okay, so the license holder os a total jerk and wants to protect his license. I can understand and agree to disagree with how he lies about his legal obligations.
So, who has pics of a real licensed Robby from the legal license holder to share? Is it a good representation? What about other licensed replicas?
There is a little metal model that I tried to buy from Monster in Motion for a year or so (heck, maybe I still "have it on order" who knows?)
Those Matsudaya models are very cool, though I have never seen the 24" one, any one have one of those to share pics of?
I had a small wind up toy of Robby and the LIS robot that I drilled holes in to put wires through and make Xmas ornaments out of!! They used to be at every convention I went to for about $10. Dan, Iwish I knew where they were now!

I also recall a small metal (maybe pewter?) version. Anyone have that or those?

Mods: seriously, are we allowed to talk about Robby? If not, just delete this thread. I am not trying to be glib or a smart aleck. I hope we can.

I have the 24" version.
I made the mistake of using the paint guide included (not close to accurate). I will, at some point, repaint it.

I wouldn't mind a thread regarding painting one of these.

We have to be careful that's how the "other" thread started.

I've got the 24" and the 16", I would like to get a better idea of how to paint them.

But that might give away to many of RTR's(Rudy the Rumbler) secrets.

As long as we aren't building or selling RR we can talk about it as much as we want including how best to paint our models using screen grabs or whatever for reference -- so post away!

I'll get out the 24" the 16" and the X-Plus diecast that's about 9 inches and is my current favorite, and post pictures for you.
Laffo.

Well, if you look at the first post here, House is asking if anyone has a Barton Robby they would show off or post pics of!

I think.

Yea, I'd love to see nice big bright and clear pics of the FB Robby. So far, what bothers me about it is the finish. Just too much like a new car. The screen Robby has a duller finish to him, and might even be a tad lighter?

Well, it looks like NO ONE here actually owns a licensed Robby!
Wow. Oh well.
Maybe we can start a thread on another robot. There was one for Gort at the same time as the original Robby thread.... Maybe I'll go diggin for that!

But then so would a discussion about the prop on a message board. That's also free advertising, because there are guys out there who have more money than time.

And they are lurkers
(Real smart thinking Fred.)

Well, I was hoping this would be a cool show off thread and make everyone happy with licensed replicas on show.
Clutch: I like that image with the angels, where is it from?
A shirt would be a great idea, but we already know the answer to that!

I agree. I can't imaging FB would be upset with folks posting pics of their FB figure??? Free advertising, I'd think?

I agree with you guys as well(note my past post #14).

If he is passing a C&D to a message board, god only knows how he would interpret somebody posting pics.
