Ha! Actually, I remember some movies coming out of no where, just "In theaters TOMORROW" and you're like "Where did this come from" kinda like District 9, not a whole lotta hype until it was about to be released. Some things are sold TO DEATH! I've seen some movies pitched so far in advanced, that when they are finally released, I think their advertising for the video

I'm hoping they have SOOOOOO much more material than their showing us, that their only showing us the tip of the ice burg, and there's plenty more surprises left to be sown.

I've only been glancing the thread to avoid spoilers, but did anyone see the trailer that was attached to men in black 3? It was made to look like a actiony pg-13 kinda movie. It kinda made me chuckle inside because the feel was so lighthearted compared to the other trailers.

I haven't followed the entire thread, but is Prometheus connected to Alien at all? They have some aliens in chairs that look a lot like the space jockey from Alien.

I think they did it for promotional purposes. I saw a TV spot, where the "Prometheus" on the side of the ship morphed into the movie title as the screen faded. Someone else pointed out that it doesn't show up on the ship in earlier trailers.

I've always liked the version with NOSTROMO written on the side. I've thought about putting that on the Halcyon kit.

....or maybe paint it yellow. I always liked that one too.

I thought about going to the midnight showing but decided against it on the grounds I would preffer to have the drink AFTER I've seen the film. That way if its great I can toast Sir Ridleys achievement with a decent red wine and if it sucks I will just really whine and drown my sorrows with multiple lagers all day. At least the weather is turning cool for the weekend so the cinemas should be busy, MIB3 bombed here in the UK because we actually had one whole week of sun and nobody could be bothered to go.
