That's always been my favorite ST movie phaser.

I find something to like about almost every phaser version, but the Trek III is my favorite too. It's got the personality of a classic sci-fi ray gun in a way no other model quite achieves.

Moreover, it's still in style. If this phaser hadn't been in Search For Spock, it could've easily been in this year's movie.

You sure that is one of Rich's? I don't recall his having the blue line painted around the base of the emitter, and I seem to recall that his P2 is sealed (speaker is in the P1). Maybe a nice one-off from Rich's master?

He said he repainted it. He also hollowed out areas of both parts to fit everything.

As much as I like prase, that is a rebuilt older model of mine redone by Eric N. of Propdept.

Note the incorrect blue line behind the Muzzle.

There are other detail changes as well.
